I've recently played a version of a Suika Game on Itch.io which had a "Shake the screen" option which allowed you to sometimes match some pairs that are close to each other but have something stock between them. That game only allowed you to do it 3 "Shakes" per session. You could copy that as it is or even better, allow people to gain another "Shake" at X amount of points.
