Big Demo Update

24 Feb

The latest build 17491883 introduce a big change to the upgrade of buildings.

Major Changes
- Removed the purchasing of upgrades level caps
- Now each building has an elemental type among Air, Fire, Water, Lightning. Each building also has an influence pattern of surrounding slots each with a preference for an elemental type. Placing a building of the corresponding type in the appropriate slot upgrades the building.
- Each building now can be interacted with showing a UI that reports the current level, production per second and enabled the relocation of the building

Minor Changes
- Level up visual effects and sounds
- Volume sliders

Fixes
- Fixed the gathering tool not colliding with gatherables on certain occasions.

buggy & boring game

- when in build mode, the mouse "drifts" which forces me to place the buildings in "the wrong place". This alone means this game is trash-tier: controls need to be good. - the game is boring due to the need to manually destroy hundreds of things - there's a potential deadlock due to the possibility to destroy all rocks and trees, upgrade the pickaxe and have $0 left for buildings - the upgrade system is trash-tier, as leveling the pickaxe doesn't make it easier to clear trees and rocks - the upgrade system...

Demo Time Limit Removed

Upon popular request from the last update - build 17461679 - the demo is no more time limited.

- Added a setting to enable/disable the screen shake effect
- Added a setting to enable/disable the fullscreen window mode
- Fixed the mouse drift bug that happened when in build mode

I just opened the demo and started playing. Please add an option to disable the screen shake. I cannot play with it enabled. It makes my head hurt.

I like the game, as noted you can just build the latest & greatest ignoring the earlier buildings. If the game had progression of goods, where the each of the earlier types feeds the resource requirements of the later types. e.g. mine has ore, smelter needs ore, ore is used in the factory. If you followed the above process, then if sources are adjacent it gives bonus production (exactly as it works now) but it can still "work" but consumes that resource generated by other buildings. First impressions

Sorry to say, but that demo left a pretty bad first impression. One of the worst issues is frustrating controls: - why do you have to click on the building that is currently selected / highlighted again to deselect? why doesn't for example right click clear the selection? - when trying to build a building, having to deselect it again to be able to get the pickaxe again to free the terrain to be able to build where you want is also annoying - lack of hotkeys - having to manually click on "relocate" or the ...
