Back in 1988 & 89, I played a baseball sim on a Commodore 128 that was distributed on a 5.25" shareware floppy. I think it may have come with a magazine, I just can't remember. You had to MANUALLY enter all the stats of the players and then let the game work it's magic. Graphics were rudimentary. Then after that through the early 90s it was Baseball Stars on the nintendo. In order to make it function as a true sim, my friends and I would agree to throw all pitches down the pipe (or "pike" if you grew up in...

First off, the bug. I'm the General Manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, and Chase Utley was suspended for four games. After his first game back, he sent me a message saying to trade him if he wasn't going to be an every day starter, which he was for the whole season except for this 4 day suspension. It would be nice if maybe players knew that they weren't playing because they were suspended, I guess. Now the potentially amusing anecdote: I named my save file: Better than RAJ because I frickin hate Ruben...

It looks like running an online league would be a chore for me and not easy to do for the average person. I had hoped it would be different when I looked at the manual.
