Greetings, Aspiring Dark Mages!

I’ve added some cool updates to Frost—literally. Things are a bit tougher, a lot more immersive, and way more fun as you climb the ranks of icy badassery. Go check below what’s new!

⚖️ GAME BALANCE ⚖️

-- Keen-Eye Starter Deck: The entire deck has been revamped! Every single card has been rebalanced or redesigned. Test it out and discover how the new changes play out!

- Ice Shards: Now generates 1 Cold every 6 TUs for a total duration of 30 TUs. Cold will no longer decrease at the end of Ice Shards life cycle.

- Ice Storm: The effects of this spell have been significantly overhauled and now scale better with Cold!

Each Villager will suffer the following effects every 5 TUs if Cold reaches these thresholds:

Cold 40+: Each Villager receives Slow 1.

Cold 60+: Each Villager receives Slow 2 and -1 Attack Damage.

Cold 80+: Each Villager receives Slow 3, -1 Attack Damage, and takes 2 Damage.

- Slow Debuff: Enemies affected by Slow will now retain a minimum speed of 1. This keeps Slow strategies viable, while making them slightly less dominant.

🃏 CARDS BALANCE 🃏

- Blizzard: no longer generates Cold based on Ice Shards. Instead, it deals 1 Damage to each Villager for each Ice Shard in play. Additionally, Blizzard now refreshes the duration of each Ice Shard on the battlefield! To balance this powerful effect, the cost has been increased to 6 TUs.

- Ostearch Maiden/Handmaid: The Health of this minion has been slightly increased.

- Frost Sword: The Damage boost is now limited to +5.

🐛 BUGS 🐛

- Fixed incorrect Experience values when player reaches Level 24.

-Fixed a bug on "Corrupted Preciousss" card when cast with 2+ Gold Nuggets on the Battlefield.

The Frost experience might be nearly complete, but there's still plenty on the horizon! I'm getting closer to rolling out those long-promised features, and here's a sneak peek at what's coming:

- New game modes
- The Malice/Virtue System – the ultimate challenge for those brave enough to challenge Glowing Skull runs.
- New vendors to discover and deal with
- More Limited Edition cards, including some all-new Limited Edition minions
- Standalone decks – a set of compact Starter decks with unique mechanics outside the main 4 Domains

Death Guard Redesign Suggestion: Death March

Just did a couple runs with the Death Guard deck which I have neglected up until now. Got a few suggestions I hope you'll consider worth listening to. So there are two themes I perceive here - defense and slowness. Defense is a flimsy theme, only the deck's name and the guardian card adhere to it. I don't have much experience in the game yet, so I'll leave card balance feedback for later for the most part, but there are a few other things I think I'm just barely informed enough to comment on. First... Aw man, no cloud saves? :< The 2 orc archers at the beginning of each round upgrade from Collector is a blatant anti-synergy with the orc warlord deck, because it guarantees a minion on the field at the beginning of the game and therefore severely limits the usability of the Orc Ringleader (forgot hi...

Patch Notes EA_v0.63 - Bigger on the inside!

Hello Aspiring Dark Mages!

This new patch is a weird one... it was supposed to be a routinary patch to fix the usual small bugs that arise here and there and it slowly became a game-changer! You'll notice a longer than usual list of changes and updates! Some core mechanics are impacted aswell, hopefully for the best!

Without further ado, here is the list of what is new in game!

🛠️ NEW CONTENT 🛠️
- Rulebook: the Rules for the game can now be conveniently accessed both from the Main Menu and in the Shop, in case you wish to review some mechanics of the game before purchasing new cards or upgrades...
- Miracles: the new Miracles introduced with the big Frost game update were... Boring? Bad? Wards were particularly nasty, as they were either useless or devastating, based on your deck build. They were just un-funny, hence I redesigned almost each of the "Rune" Miracles. Just check the Library to see how those updated Miracles work!
- Flesh Cult Deck: this deck received a Major update! The card Spring Cleaning/Make Room was deemed very powerful. Now it is an Unleash card that launches Corpses on the Battlefield at a controlled rate, rather than being both an awesome Corpse generator and a very reliable defensive tool. The Flesh Collector is now a Sadistic Butcher! To compensate the reduced Corpse generation, now this updated minion has a Loop ability that self-inflicts damage to create Corpses. The old healing ability still stands so...
- Ratageddon Deck: also the Rats of Doom received a big update of one of their least favourite card: Gnawing Critters is now an Unleash card that transform Corpses into Rats whenever you play a "Rat" card.

⚖️ GAME BALANCE ⚖️
- Game Difficulty & Miracles: this is partially a retrace of a former change, but I feel it is needed. The rate at which Miracles are added to deck changed for 0 and 1 Skull runs. Now at 0 Skulls players will receive a single Miracle from Rounds 10 to 15. In 1 Skull runs Miracles will be added at Rounds 5, 10 and 15, making a total of 3 Miracles for the last round. Higher difficulties Miracle ratios are unaltered.
- Necropotence: significant nerf. Now you will no longer get a Devotion skelly but "just" a Skeleton Crackhead, a fighter unit that is not even considered a Minion. Former version of the Death Pact was objectively overpowered.
- Ice Shards: they now generate 5 Cold upon entering the battlefield (was 6).
- Cold Generation: flat cold generation has been reduced all over the game. Too many small changes to track them, generally cards/minions will add less Cold, generate less shards or card cost received small tweeks.
- Icestorm: damage reduced. Was 1/3/5 for the three tiers of storm intensity, now it is 1/2/3 and applies Slow 1/2/3 aswell.
- Ghoran Profit: mechanic for this hidden skill has been changed. Now when you hit the Oblation action, if you have this skill, you'll also destroy each Gold Nugget on the Battlefield. Then you'll draw a card for every 2 Gold destroyed this way.

🃏 CARDS BALANCE 🃏
- Ostearch Maiden: mechanic reworked. Now the skeletal lady gained two Warcry abilities: one will summon an Ostearch Despoiler if you have 6 or more cards in hand, the second will summon a Ostearch Despoiler if there are 6 or more cards in the Graveyard.
- Snow Imp: now the imps will destroy the Gold Nugget closest to the Dark Tower.
- March of the Dead: big change! This card was another one clearly too powerful for its rarity and intended gameplay... It has been redesigned completely: now will summon a Spear Skeleton when the player casts a "Skeleton" card (any Minion card having the Skeleton trait) and will summon a Rotten Zombie when the player casts a "Zombie" card (again, any Minion card having the Zombie trait). This change is justified largely by the sheer amount of crazy builds that allowed to beat the game too easily once in possession of two copies of this card!

🐛 BUGS 🐛
- Patched Thing: source code was very old and had conflicts with the new Entombed mechanics.
- Keen-Eye Invoker: the upgraded Stormcaller had an higher than intented Health charateristic (19!!). Now it has 10 Hp as planned.

Reroll Limited Edition booster pack don't work

I reroll with Gold and Souls, there is the animation of the reroll, but the booster content still the same after 3 rerolls. I don't try to reroll with Dark Gems. I'm a bit sad, if i knew it, i prefer use my currencies for other options.

Diverse and varied questions

1) Why is summoning DEATH repeatedly better rewarded than maintaining it? 2) I haven't summoned the big demon much, is this logic similar in terms of reward? 3) Is a pvp mode planned for this game? If so, would a Despot's Game-style deck clash mechanic be appropriate for this game? 4) Will there be a list of units on the battlefield? (It's sometimes difficult to determine whether a particular unit is still present, but in terms of strategy, it's important to know which cards are really relevant to play...

[bug?] Can't get the second red skull

First of all - thanks for the game. It is awesome! It is a pleasure to dig in different mechanics and combos. Great job, Matt! Still, got a little problem here. I got first red skull after completening 5th run with 1 deck. But I didn't get anything after 6th run with this deck. And didn't get second red skull after completing 5th run with another deck. Don't know If it is supposed to be so - looks like a bug to me. First deck was first black one. Second - first red one....
