Hello Ohmies!

The Steam Awards are on-going and we humbly hope you will consider nominating The Lullaby of Life for the “Best Soundtrack” award.

From its inception, music has been at the core of The Lullaby of Life, depicting a vision of our world that spawns from harmonious sounds. The soundtrack is what brings that greater world to life across the stages of construction, destruction, and conservation.

Working with Soundscape and composer Oscar Azcautli Rodríguez, we created 16 tranquil and melodic tracks that present a very cosmic and puzzling idea to players of what could have been the very, very beginning of life.

Resolution seems off?

I'm playing on a 4K monitor, so that could be part of the problem, but I figured I would mention it quick. Hello there, I think there might be a slight issue with the game. It might just be that it can't support 4K resolutions very well, but I don't think that's the case? Either way I look at it, it seems the game is regularly running in a low resolution, so much so when I unfullscreen it, it scrunches down to something that might be 480p or something. Not entirely sure about that, but figured I would let...

Demo Feedback

The demo, while a bit too simplistic, does show potential and I can see where you're probably going with the game --which is encouraging. However there is one major issue that I wanted to leave feedback on. The controls are incredibly awkward to the point where I can't see myself being willing to play through an entire game using them. I can't speak to the controller interface, but the mouse and keyboard interface needs some serious TLC. The inability to bind keys for the button activation breaks the flow...

Game needs multiple save points.

I've had a few instances where if I quit after getting a new lyric icon (squishy icon person?) or do a puzzle out of order and quit the game. Next time I go back, I'm either missing the lyric icons (because the planet guy already took them and I can't progress) or another instance where I had the lyric icon guy prior to quitting, but my save state wanted me to hit B (green guy) to remove the wall and it wouldn't give me the icon to remove them. Basically breaking the save. I'm not sure if this game does a...

This game is charming!

Charming. Whimsical. Radiant. Vibrant. I feel like it's a great game for all walks of life. An easy to play, (can be) difficult to master. A wonderful brain game with the icon matching and problem solving. The file size lends well to Steam Deck (demo plays well there too). It would be great if this game had some sort of co-pilot ability for parents to help their kids if they're not too quick or stuck in an area....
