Great game. Amazing art and music. The story in intriguing but a lil front loaded with clunky exposition. But I really enjoyed what it had going on and was keen to see more.

Just stability issues such as big flashy moves ending a combat consistently crashing the game meant I couldn't put any more time into it. Which is a shame as overall it seems like such a hidden gem.

Besides the crashes, there is a bit of a weird difficulty curve. I always picked the perma buffs, never used the ascended moves and kept my gang at 0 ascencion. For nearly all the battles I could cake walk them on normal difficulty and sometimes even take 0 damage. But then you get some random bosses that are a bit overtuned. The one that jumps out at me is Hermet The Prophet.

It baffles me that this isn't getting more attention. I find it odd that this gem of a game has somehow slipped past the notice of several content creators I frequently watch. It'd definitely be up the alley of a few of them. It has a good balance of combat, narrative flow/choices, and uses roguelike elements without devolving into a tedious slog. The artwork is gorgeous (imo) and the scenes are well presented and written. Genuinely, the only thing preventing this game from having an Overwhelmingly Positive rating is Steams strange criteria that a game has to have over a certain amount of reviews. So here's me adding to that in the hopes that this game can get the attention it deserves. Very HIGHLY recommended, particularly if you are a fan of turn-based rpgs.
