Dear friend,

When I released the winter update (build 64), I promised myself a little holiday. Most people would define that as "stay away from work", and I did my best to keep myself out of my serene office. That is, until I remembered that I am a fairy, and my definition of a holiday (or work, or office, for that matter) might not fit the common understanding.

Several exciting things came out of this realisation:

In my efforts to "have a holiday", I took my old camera for several walks in the forest and attempted to capture the beauty of Fairyland. I failed, of course - my home is far too magical and beautiful to be captured in a still image in a good enough way to highlight the essence of it - but some of the pictures I took are quite pleasing, and I made an experiment to see how they might look in my scrapbook journal. I found they can be used quite nicely as backdrops and decided to let you take a look at my camera roll, too. I love this idea because this way, I can share a glimpse of the true Fairyland with you, my friend!

Then I felt the need for more color choices to go well with the Fairyland photo backdrops, so I added the most extensive color palette so far, featuring 30 colors inspired by Fairyland and nature in general. They are plain, soft, earthy colors that can easily be scaled and tiled.

As the year got closer to its end, the forest whispered great wisdom to me. I do believe this year I will share a lot more personal, magical, and quite vulnerable stories and letters with you, but until then, I collected 9 of my favorite quotes by Alan Watts, a druid whose wisdom has soothed and inspired me during many moments of my enchanted life.

To summarise, build 65 is a celebration of new beginnings that brings you:

• a new camera trinket containing 9 pictures of Fairyland that can be used creatively while scrapbooking

• a new color palette featuring 30 earthy colors inspired by the forest

• 9 quotes by the wise druid, Alan Watts

• 2 hidden transparent paper backdrops in Watts' quote, to experiment more with layering and transparency

The Winter update for Fairyland is finally here!

Here is what the cryptically named build 64 brings to my enchanted cottage:

• Snow! You can now choose to experience a snowy, magical winter Fairyland. You may choose the snow tight before entering my enchanted cottage, or switch the weather by using the Weather House

• Your choice of weather is now saved

• You can now finally pet the fox! In truth, I told the fox a long time ago that many magical creatures who visit would love to hug and cuddle with him, but he is quite shy. However, when winter arrived, his heart softened, and now he simply cannot have enough cuddles, so please pet him as much as you can!❤️🦊❤️

• The Fairyland book, which is the third book on the shelf, now has a new page describing one of my most favorite rituals - my own version of "Rauhnächte" or "The 13 wishes". I am starting this ritual on the longest night of the year, which is December 21st. May all your wishes come true!

• The Bug report became the Ladybug report and has a proper letter written by me

Beware! Some magical creatures are having difficulties obtaining "The Bold One" achievement. This is under investigation, but I don't have any clear understanding of why it's happening. If you're experiencing this issue, I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know.

Winter is known as a season of joy and celebration, but it is also a season of cold and darkness. Many magical souls find themselves alone and sad. If you feel like that, my friend, know that you are loved, that you are not alone, and that you matter far more than you imagine. Darkness holds many treasures, as many as the light. Solitude, if embraced properly, brings something as valuable as companionship - wisdom.

I plan to rest and keep myself away from working on my cottage for a little while, but I am always keeping an eye on The Merry Fairy Discord server, the nicest and warmest community a Fairy could ever wish for. I hope you will join us! ☃️
