Hey everyone I'm so sorry about the game breaking bug that some of you experienced! I hope it didn't ruin your experience too much.

The bug was happening on the final boss fight, when the player had a combination of slowing and stunning spells the purple mushroom wizard was getting stunned/slowed to oblivion and eventually would stop taking damage and cause the player to be stuck! How annoying, especially on the final boss fight!
This is unfortunately the nature of making a game like this, no matter how much testing I did there's always going to be one random combination of upgrades that I haven't tested.

This is hopefully fixed now, a few hours before I have to go on holiday!

I have also slightly nerfed the health of the gargoyle boss, and both mushroom bosses as I felt the fights went on a bit too long.

I also fixed other projectiles that the shrimp fires getting affected by the wide spell krill tree skill.

I really am going away for a week now so no updates for a while!
Fingers crossed everyone for no more game breaking bugs...

Hello everyone, thanks so much for all the feedback and positive comments it's been so awesome to see my silly little game get some attention!

Some balancing, some QoL changes,
Here are the patch notes for this one:

- Added a pop up warning that a shop is coming up next before you spend money on base upgrades
- Made crystal only invincible when moving to the center to do the lasers, not the whole laser phase.
- Nerfed crystal boss health slightly
- Nerfed gargoyle boss health slightly
- Fixed the purple mushroom boss not spawning enemies properly
- Stopped the tutorial video looping
- Fixed Gem Flies not getting knocked back
- Nerfed critical strikes heal you in the krill tree
- Made all potions stack

Quick patch to fix some achievements!
Deal 10,000 fire damage and kill 1,000 enemies with wisps was getting given to players when it shouldn't have been. Has now been fixed!

Introducing, The Krill Tree!
If you play the game on the hardest difficulty that you have unlocked, you will gain Krill points to spend in the Krill Tree. You also gain access to three new specializations which you can unlock via achievements.

Here it is! My first huge update to Wizard Shrimp, v1.1. Complete with a new gamemode!

The Cauldron Mode
The Cauldron mode will be unlocked when you defeat the game on hard mode (if you have already got the achievement for this you should have it unlocked already).
If you have previously played the hard mode and found it too difficult don't be discouraged, there has been some balancing changes and hard mode is now quite a bit easier 😎
Each level of the Cauldron will add a new modifier to the base game, making it harder! At level 5 for example, all the bosses you meet will have additional attacks to learn!
Jump in and see how far you can push it!

In addition to the new mode I have added new Upgrades, Items, and patched a few other things:

New Upgrades

Minor Patch Notes:

• Added an "Are you sure?" when navigating to main menu from pause menu
  
• Fixed Ent bugging out and not attacking when slowed/stunned
  
• Buffed base attack speed again from 5 to 7% each level
  
• Blood sacrifice scales the coins given with the level (25, 50, 100)
  
• Changed campfire coin amount in stage 4 to 2000 instead of 2500
  
• Reduced damage Ent deals
  
• Reduced health of crystal
  
• Reduced damage of Green Mushroom Boss attacks
  
• Reduce damage taken from most enemies

- reduced health of most level 2 and 3 enemies as the spawn rate was increased in the last patch.

Development is well underway for The Cauldron and it's expected to be out in January along with a few new upgrades and items!

In the meantime this is a pretty small patch to address a couple things:

- Homing spells no longer home in on the Ent while the Ent is summoning frogs.
- Ent hit collider for his smash attack slightly more forgiving.
- Enemy spawn rate changes to level 2 and 3 (spawn more frequently).

Thank you so much for your positive reviews and feedback it really means so much to me and I'm so grateful that already a bunch of people have played and enjoyed the game 🙂
I have made a few quick patches since the release to address things like bugs and urgent balancing, you made read about this in the previous patch notes (v1.0.0.1 and v1.0.0.2 patch notes are lost to the aether but they both were just quick fixes to sort the achievements!)

THE NEW GAME MODE:
The Cauldron will essentially introduce 10 more difficulties to the game.
You will unlock The Cauldron level 1 after completing the game on hard mode.
Each Cauldron level will make the game harder in some way and completing each Cauldron level will unlock the next!
I will probably do a giveaway for the first person that completes all 10 levels of The Cauldron so keep your eyes peeled for when it goes live!
I don't have an exact date for it yet but I believe it'll be out within the next month 🙂
