v0.8.4 Bug Fixes / Changes:

Fixed draw order of tool tips, so icon tool tips draw over hot key tool tip
Fixed office workers all being assigned the same guise
Fixed bug that caused units to stay at work all night
Fixed units sitting at desks that had no chairs.
Fixed zone alpha tiles being miscolored when loaded from save
Demand now immediately updates after placing blueprint (both the demand box and the demand bars in the blueprint GUI)
Fixed main bar blueprint icon becoming inactive when switching building type in blueprint main GUI
Added residential demand info output in demand box tool tip
Fixed units not going out to restaurants for lunch
Fixed units at parks pathing indoors most of the time
Object menu defaults to ALL now
Fixed "replace all windows by type" outputting a window on every tile
Moved outdoor floors to first option in the object GUI outdoor item group
Outdoor floors now gently randomizes brightness on output
If building fails to go on market due to incomplete pathing, the game will now update the active floor to show all floors of the building so bad rooms are not missed

Parking structures become overloaded

When my town population gets bigger, my gas station (blueprint version, not custom made) becomes insanely crowded, resulting in traffic jams. I've added some more even with no demand, but they keep going to the bigger one that's closer to the main freeway. Is this normal?...

Minor Update, Bug Fixes

Minor Update - v0.8.3

New Features:

Implemented building exterior design copy tool. This will copy the exterior wall, roof, wall frame, windows, and roof walls from one building to another. Located in the color dropper menu.
Auto zones no longer output buildings with drastically less depth than the original zone depth
Can now place zones (when building from scratch) without needing to touch a road
Removed "driveway spacing" check when creating building from scratch. Don't forget to leave space for a driveway though!
Added time / date output when mouse is over respective GUI container

Bug/QOL Fixes:

Fixed cashiers being assigned "purchase item" action (instead of "station")
Fixed inability to place outdoor signs/huge trees within non-paved road area
Blueprints: Prevented metal wall frames being an option in output for non industrial buildings
Blueprints: Randomized roof options now consider zone type when placing blueprint/auto grow zones
Blueprints: 4-8 floor buildings now have a random chance to out normal exterior walls or sky scraper walls
Blueprints: Added brick and stone exterior walls as random options to 8+ story buildings
Fixed outdoor room half-walls randomizing when duplicating floor
Fixed changing outdoor room half wall causing every outdoor room to update (should only happen when SHIFT is pressed)
Clarified roof wall help/tooltip text (bottom left of screen)
Fixed bug that caused roof top walls to remain behind when duplicating floor for flat-roof buildings.
Fixed building UI bug where apartments were not displayed as sold
Fixed building population (occupancy) numerator counting all units instead of number of apartments sold
Added available residential homes/apartments to population box tooltip
Fixed wrong goal being unlocked when comma key is pressed to unlock all goals

Major Demo Update

Hey everyone, I'm really happy to share a major update to the demo!

Major Changes:

Unit simulation (schedule, activities) has taken a massive leap forward.
- Units will now run errands, do work/leisure/home activities
- Units will look for specific objects based on their current activity
- Note: Currently, if no object is found, unit will stand around instead. This will be fixed later.
Supply / Demand has improved. Added industrial/office demand
Added player objectives (just a few for now)
Implemented a clear, detailed, interactable UI for buildings and units
Road placement is much smoother.
- You can now overlap the selection with multiple roads
- Added tool to expand/shrink existing road
- Can connect roads without selection overlapping
Added visiting units. For now, they will visit service building types to run an errand, then leave.
Added micro mode (10x10 map), no goals

General Updates:

Unit education is considered when unit is assigned a job
Implemented some GPU tricks to reduce GPU load (2x-4x improvement)
Added double seating functionality for e.g. couches
Added in a lot more unit names
Added unit teleportation ability.
- e.g. if unit is traveling to a building for an errand, and the building gets deleted, the unit will teleport home after it attempts to enter the lot
Added unit guises for all job types
Added business hours to zones. Customers will not visit store when closed
New opening screen
Can reposition huge objects (signs, huge trees)

QOL Updates:

You can now interact with the game world when the game is paused
Added camera tracking so you can follow units/vehicles
Desaturated building floor tiles a bit to help clarify building interiors
Room boarder outputs when deleting room
Buildings wont generate and store paths until building is placed on market
Brightened units a tad to make them pop more
Units will now get object offset when sitting
GUI/UI will adjust size based on application window size
Game launches full screen
Added job info to population box
Demand UI is more clear/color coded
Huge tiles (outdoor signs, huge trees) turn red in delete box
Show zone boarder when placing perimiter fence

Bug Fixes:

Fixed in-game time update speed being based on FPS
Fixed indoor floors not randomizing for blueprints
Fixed bug that caused building entrances to be deleted when editing a building
Fixed units taking longer path when walking on sidewalk in some cases
Fixed rare case of unit not exiting vehicle after parking, causing it to drive indoors
Fixed units' walking speed being the same for every unit. Now there is variance
Fixed number of available jobs being miscalculated, which created way more jobs than it should have
Fixed units popping off screen when they're near the edge of the screen
Fixed ability to edit building subdivisions and door placement when building is on the market, which caused all sorts of issues
Fixed road tiles (e.g. road paint) disappearing after editing a road
Fixed a rare case of unit walking off the map when loading a game, if the unit was on the tile that connects building to road network
Fixed auto zone building output bug, which prevented building from growing
Fixed chimneys not fully outputting in auto-grow zones
Fixed rare case of blueprint output changing the exterior wall color from what was shown in the on-map preview
Fixed auto-zone guide not outputting behind some buildings if a parallel road was nearby
Fixed ability to place zones/objects on water
Fixed reoccurring FPS spike (may not have been noticeable on most machines)
Fixed autozones rarely outputting a one tile wide zone
Fixed unit needs sometimes not being filled out
Grass boarders reoutput for driveways placed in road if road is deleted/readded
Fixed units not centering themselves on chairs
Fixed blueprint roof top walls randomizing every time the preview is moved
