Buggy mess. Game over screen only showing half side for some reason?
Saves don't work other than being checkpoints. You better beat the game in one go.

Due to being very short, for me it was just under 3 hours, I wouldn't recommend it If not for the 90% discount. The game itself a good experience.

It has great art, creative enemy design, and a story I enjoyed. It is a sweet and small Metroidvania with care put into it. I won't talk any more about the positives since it doesn't break the mold anywhere gameplay-wise. I liked the game.

It's quaint and I only have two negatives to say about it:
1. The mini-map sucks. Its only feature is showing what room you are in and updating as a whole with new rooms when you enter them at least once. It has no displays, markers, sections, or even access indication (openings you can enter and exit from). Easily the worst thing in the game.
2. One of the final sections is at the very bottom of the map and it is full of instant kills. With save points far between, It is a little bs. Only saving grace is that this is the only place that does this alongside death isn't punishing and the progress lost can be quickly regained. This was the only time in the game I felt some frustration.

So, how to start. This game is good, has a few bugs here and there, all concerning the inability to exit the game via the menu and saving the game, but nothing that i couldn't manage with about 10 minutes of google searching.
The story and the world are interesting, although the game would benefit greatly from more character interactions between the characters so the characters feel a lot more fleshed out.
The game is not really all that challenging and can be beaten in about 4 hours if you know what you are doing. Most of the boss fights feel too easy when you learn how to use the controls properly and on one occasion the boss felt cheap for spamming an attack that would push you towards an instakill attack that you wouldn't be able to dodge in time your invincibility frames stop, but once you know where and when to dodge it was a breeze.
The world design and most of the monster designs are amazing and really interesting. Every new area you come across has one or two new monsters that have their own set of moves which keeps things fresh. But the lack of a fast travel system makes things a bit tedious if you are trying to collect every upgrade because the monsters, once killed, stay dead and don't re-spawn.

All in all, the game is a really cool, short, and casual experience. If you like metroidvania games, and want a quick and not so stressful experience, then I would recommend trying this game out. The gameplay is solid, the overall story is enticing, and the world is cool. If I had to give it a numbered rating, it would be 3/5, fun, cool and memorable, but nothing all that special.
