i found a way to soft-lock the game i don't 100 % know everything i did but here goes: had to have gotten both the thief and the mushroom ending , then choose the devil as your godfather , when you run into the toad choose the option your godfather is the devil and steal his things , get to the village and go back home and say you aren't ready this sends you back to the village with no other options to advance ( you can't talk to the toad and there no more endings going back into the forest .[/s...

Has anyone worked out how to get the true ending?

I wasn't able to read to the end of the pages with the long text. It would just advance to the next page whether I clicked or scrolled. I didn't see anything in the options that helped, but not sure if it wasn't a settings issue on my end. Any idea how to fix it?...
