When I launch the game, I can see the title then the main menu and move my cursor but can't select anything. So I'm stuck on the menu...

Like it says in the title ^^; there's no visible cursor.

I am not clear as to which direction the arrows on the laces should point?

Finished the game, but just thought I'd feedback that the sliding blocks puzzle feels exceptionally harder than the others. In the end I had to give up and watch a video of a playthrough going step by step. I think I spent more time on that one than the rest of the game!...
