In order to provide you with a better gaming experience, the DLC2 "Stars Will", the English version will be postponed to January 2024. Because we are a Chinese Dev team, we will give priority to using Chinese during development, and then ask a professional localization team to process it into English. The localization work for DLC2 was more complicated than expected, so we had to postpone the release of the English version. We have reworked the combat system and added a new "AVATAR" system, hoping to make the combat experience more in line with the amenders' expectations.

Play as the Amender, descending directly into the world in the form of an avatar, issuing instructions to destroy the enemy or strengthen your own army and jurisdiction.
The version replaces the previous war system, hoping to reduce cumbersome operations and change the overall game experience.
The new version of the war system focuses on the operation of avatars and special troops. The operation methods of the above two are similar to the old version, but they can move forward to any jurisdiction on the same planet without restrictions.
The conventional army will be modified to a control method in the form of issuing orders. You no longer need to directly control each army. Instead, you can assemble the army after choosing a war strategy. The conventional army will complete the combat mission according to your deployment.

We have just finished our exhibition tour at the 2023 World Science Fiction Conference. It is an honor to participate in the world-class sci-fi event and communicate closely with all the great designers and sci-fi fans within this industry, and we would like to express our special gratitude to all Lightracer's players who attended. We are currently continuing to develop our second free-download DLC - Stars Will and will be releasing it within November following our plan. Today we will tell more about the Lightracer series further development plan after the DLC2.

When designing the framework of Lightracer: Spark, we like to maintain the core of stories-telling, while exploring innovative gameplay, to achieve a game experience that combines both TRPG style and strategic gameplay of some sort. Until recently, we have noticed that some parts of our system operations are too cumbersome to help build stories and do not meet our expectations. This problem occurs most obviously at the first release of the base game - Spark. Although we have made efforts to avoid the subsequent DLC1, there are still significant shortcomings in the experience due to the overall game framework.

Now the base game Lightracer: Spark has updated the problems of the combat system that were from the collective feedback. The game sells at $12.99 and is packed with two free DLCs: DLC1 - Grey and Green and DLC2 - Stars Will (released in November) with extended game stories. We have indeed considered providing new content in the form of paid DLC in the future, and we understand that many of you want the story to continue, but based on the shortcomings of the framework mentioned earlier and the current feedback from players, continuing development is feasible but not ideal for the result. New stories will not escape the limits of the old game system, so we would rather start over, spend more time and effort on framework design by learning from the experiences and lessons, and release a new game in the future. We believe in the future, there will be a Lightracer game that has a better gameplay system that fits the core of sci-fi story-telling, we hope to live up to everyone's expectations.

Therefore, DLC2 "Stars Will" will be our last released DLC. Regarding the mobile end of Lightracer: Spark, we are actively coordinating with different channels and distributions, hoping to find suitable partners. The starry sea, a long voyage, we will reunite. Thank you all for your support!

We have received a lot of feedback since the release of Lightracer Spark, and we would like to sincerely thank you all. Many of them are discussions about the combat system, believing that the current combat operations are too cumbersome and inconsistent with the perspective of advanced civilization. To this end, we have reworked the combat system and added a new "AVATAR" system, hoping to make the combat experience more in line with the amenders' expectations.

At present, this content has been initially developed. Next, we want to work with the amenders to make the new version of the combat experience more perfect. So we plan to start beta testing before the official version is updated. Beta testing is open to everyone, and interested amenders can switch to the corresponding branch to experience it. There will inevitably be experience deficiencies or bugs in the Beta test version. We would like to apologize to you in advance, and please fully understand this possibility before switching branches to experience it.

1. Participating players must own the Lightracer Spark to enter the test branch.
2. The archives of the test branch is independent from the archives of the main game and do not interfere with each other. That is to say, the test branch needs to play the game from the beginning. Therefore, after you switch back to the main game branch, the game progress of the previous main game will be saved and will not be affected.

Right-click Lightracer Spark in the library → click Properties → click Betas → enter the test branch code zhuguangBeta in the private betas column → click Check Code to enter the branch and the game will automatically update → enter the game after the update is completed.
