This is a very fun game and it gives into the breach vibes. Not sure why everyone else is so negative about this game.

I really wanted to like this game.

Pros: I like that the game is unabashedly woke and antifascist, particularly in the modern political climate.

Cons: This game was absolutely DESTROYED by the decision to hang advancement on optional goals, which turn every level into a slog of trying to figure out the limited range of solutions to the puzzle. I gave up after hours of reloading the levels because I made one bad move that made it impossible to complete the goals. Sure, they're "optional" goals... except they're the main source of advancement, and there's always a bonus goal of "do EVERY optional goal in one mission" that makes it obvious that it's POSSIBLE to get all the goals if you just divine the solution to the puzzle.

If the optional goals were "mastery" replays of the levels in the simulator that awarded cosmetics or other points for bragging, this game would become a thumbs up. But it's clear that if you don't do all the optional goals the game is only going to become harder because you don't have enough skill points. Such an easy fix, but the designers fell a little too in love with their perfect puzzle playthrough of each level. I would be very interested to play this game without the goals list heavily prescribing what I should do each and every time.

Also... the protagonists tend to use "they/them" pronouns for EVERYONE in dialogues/cutscenes, even if the character being referenced isn't nonbinary. It makes several conversations confusing to follow. If you want to use neutral/plural pronouns, it's helpful to take extra care with sentence structure to make sure it's obvious which character you're referencing, and that you're not talking about a group.
