game is genuinely trash, just play Melty Blood or Guilty Gear instead

This is a genuinely great fighting game. It's quite unique with a lot of depth, largely thanks to the GRD system, which is like a tug-of-war built into many of the game's systems with a lot of interaction both in offense and defense. There's many unique and interesting character movesets and designs too.

There's replay takeover, rollback netcode, and a decently active rank ladder (though you'll likely fight more skilled players at first as a beginner). There's multiple active discords that can help if you're struggling to find people of your skill level or you need help learning.

It may be a bit overwhelming if this is your first fighting game ever, or even if it's not. But I've had a lot of fun, including when I had no idea how anything worked.
