Paramedic here,

So I get that this just launched. Right off the bat, horrible performance. I've got a beefy rig, but had to bring it down to Medium to just get over 60 frames.

Traffic systems are pretty fair, but need a bit of work. Driving is excellent, but a chore if you're doing it by the book and not going emergency traffic everywhere. (Let my partner drive while I do the work in the back, yo!)

Patients. This is where it gets dicey. I'm only a little over an hour in, and the system in place for scenes is not well set up. Firstly, every Paramedic worth their salt is going to be able to have a portable vital monitor system they can move directly to the patient and assess vitals THERE, not in the ambulance. There should be a system in place to check the basics right off the bat. Life-threatening hemorrhage, Airway, Breathing, and Circulation. I get that information within 30 seconds when I do my encounters in real-life.

Interventions are, foundationally, correct. However not every intervention reacts appropriately to every patient. I've got myself a hypotensive trauma patient, but turning on the heat makes them have a fever immediately? If a patient's O2 saturations are normal, they do NOT need O2, so don't put it as an optional treatment if it isn't indicated. Medications do certain things I expect, but not do other things. I wish Saline was administered from a bag, not from a syringe! GRR!

What killed it for me, is that there was a patient loading animation that was zoomed in on me, but the zoomed in never fixed itself, so I had to be stuck in that position, making it difficult to continue.

BUGS APLENTY!

You have time to fix this. It is playable, therefore passable... However I must warn you that it is going to be difficult to meet my expectations with your price tag. Justify it with your proactive and swift work to get these things corrected. I'll give this another go once I see some patches come through.

I was really looking forward to this game, I am a paramedic in the military and was thrilled I could work outside of work. The demo was fun although having some major performance issues and lack of treatments and interventions. Now the game has dropped and its in almost worse condition I was not even able to get into the ambulance and arrive and the first call without stuttering and then freezing and crashing. And yes my PC specs are well above what they recommend. Hope they can smooth this out because of how great of an game this could be. For now would not recommend buying

I'm an Emergency Medicine physician, and before medical school I worked as a Medic. After playing the demo, I was excited for this game, as I felt it showed a lot of promise, however I am really let down.

Pros:
- Driving feels nice
- Graphics are alright
- Basic medical concepts are correct

Cons:
- More monotonous than working on an actual truck. You get the same calls over and over again, since you have to "unlock" different types of conditions/CCs.
- Performance is horrible. I have a 7800XT and even with the settings at medium, I still get stuttering and frame drops
- Horrible patient assessment system. You here the same voice lines over and over "I don't know, I just don't feel good," and instead of just modeling phyiscal S/Sx on a patient, you have to open a menu to see results of your assessment ("contusion on arm" "patient is nauseous" "active bleeding on leg.") I feel choosing to do that is just so lazy and ruins the point of this being a video game.
- Zero critical thinking is needed. The call you receive is for an anxiety attack, and when you get there it is an anxiety attack. You check vitals, assess them (but they don't actually say anything pertinent to the call), you give them benzos, then you transport. That's it.
- As a whole the medical accuracy is pretty poor. Your partner will yell at you that the BP is getting "too high", when it is 140/84, which makes no sense, as I bet my BP is probably higher than that right now. When a patient begins to deteriorate, their vitals move in ways that make zero sense physiologically (e.g., why is this panic attack patient satting at 60% with a RR of 18 and on O2?)
- Missing some of the most interesting parts of EMS, such as EKGs, codes (not just chest compressions), resuscitations, advanced procedures, alternative vascular access, etc.
- Lots of bugs. Have encountered over a dozen in the 4 hours I've played.

Overall, really disappointing. Was hoping there finally was a good medical based game, but I've used virtual simulation software that is more enjoyable than this.
