As a fan of retro-styled FPS games,( which also includes Wolfenstein 3D, this game´s inspiration) , I would recommend this to any FPS fan. I especially love the setting. The Spanish Civil War is a conflict that is not really depicted much not only in games, but media in general really. I also like the occultistic element to it.

The weapon roster is also pretty wide and fun to use and experiment with. Enemy variety is also quite large, and the environments are oozing with style and are pleasing to the eye. Not to mention having one of the best soundtracks I´ve heard in any indie game I´ve played in a long time (which I hope the devs upload to YouTube or somewhere at some point).

However the game is far from perfect and I do have some negatives to list as well. Sometimes two of the weapons ,the grenade launcher and the flamethrower, can be nuissances to use. That combined with the hitboxes around some of the geometry can result in rather unfair and frustrating deaths (especially on hard difficulty), when you´re trying to fire a grenade launcher around the corner and you end up blowing yourself up because of a way too big invisible barrier. I´ve also seen plenty of instances of enemies straight up morphing through walls and taking chunks of health off of me, if not killing me outright. The splash damage on exploding barrels, grenades and dynamite also really needs to be nerfed, because it´s way wider than it should be.

The last point is not really a negative, just something I found disappointing. Since the game is inspired by Wolfenstein 3D, I was a little disappointed that the final boss of the game wasn´t Franco :( But oh well, the dragon was fine I guess.

Overall I´d say give it a shot. It has its flaws, but the positives make up for it greatly. That being said, I would love to see this game polished up and made even better. I still have one more achievement to unlock, so this is where I´ll leave it off. I´ve said everything I wanted to say.
