Powerful, beautiful and heart-wrenching, describes the game and pro-tag. With a crazy good OST that perfectly matches the spinning game play and femininity tones of the story. Not for the faint of heart, it’s the kind of game where the ground is your jump and a shotgun is your double jump; where nothing matters and everything sucks. I’d put Laika up there with Samus in shear badassitude, but Laika is a way better mom.

I ended up refunding this game, which is not the game's fault exactly, but I found the control scheme too difficult to get used to and quit after trying to get past the same three enemies for a half an hour while dying several dozen times. It was still in the tutorial phase so I expect it was going to be a tougher road ahead. It could be because I have thousands of hours of driving simulator muscle memory and the bike/gun controls are in contrast to that scheme. I tried to change the controls around but couldn't find anything I liked. I would have liked a story mode or some way to play more without dedicating hours getting used to the funky layout, though I bet if you do put the time in the results are super satisfying. The look and story seemed interesting. and I guess the difficulty is supposed to convey the brutality of the world, but it was too much for me on a casual evening at home.

Best game of all time. Nothing beats this.
