Hey everyone, It’s Aaron here!
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? ((*I know it has!)) Firstly, I want to wish everyone a happy 2025. I have a great feeling about this year, and I’m really looking forward to what this year has in store!

As this post gets released, tomorrow will be April 6th, which will be the first year anniversary of LOST INSIDE Act 1. I personally, from the bottom of my heart, want to thank each and every one of you who took the time of day to play the game. I poured so much time & love into that Act, and I am so glad that I was able to get it released and published to the world. I’ve been working on LOST INSIDE ever since 2019, and I never thought that Act 1 would be possible for me to create. With Act 1 released, it makes me even more excited to work on the future acts of the series.

Anyway, in this post, I will be going through updates of the future acts of the game and the plans that I have moving forward. ((*Shall we get started? hehe!!))

I have very exciting news to share about Act 2. As I’m writing this, Act 2 is currently in the final stages of being completed. The act is now playable from start to finish and is now in the final polishing stages of development. This stage includes playtesting, tweaking the dialogue, fixing grammar mistakes, adding sound design, and balancing gameplay elements. This process of development takes a lot of time, so I will be taking as much time as needed to make sure that Act 2 is the best that it can be!

Since Act 2 is technically finished, I have now started pre-production work on Act 3 and will also be spending my time and energy getting Act 3 off the ground. There is not much more to say about Act 3 however, this is going to be a very interesting Act, that's for sure!

While I was creating Act 1, I originally stated that I would be releasing each act separately as I created them. However, since then, I have been reconsidering my thoughts. Since the development of LOST INSIDE is going very smoothly, I have built Act 2 on top of Act 1, which means that you can now play through each of the acts on 1 EXE file. Since I have now grown more confident as a game designer, I feel like it's the best opportunity for me to release ALL of the acts once they have been completed into one game file. Since Act 2 & 3 are connected, I will be holding off the release of Act 2 until I have Act 3 completed. I want LOST INSIDE to be a fully completed experience for everyone to enjoy. This is why I will be waiting until I release all of the acts together.

Phew, that was a lot of information, wasn’t it?

Anyways, I hope that you enjoyed this update. It still feels like yesterday when I released Act 1 on Steam. I plan on doing more frequent updates like these in the future!

Since that's the update done, I have to get back to work now.
