I remember buying a Gameboy to take on my 2nd 6 month deployment in 1996 to help pass the time when I was off work. I bought one game and that was FFL2. I played only that game for 6 months over and over again. I saw this game on Steam's spring sale and heard the music from the trailer and sent me back. OMG I don't know if it's a good or bad thing since I heard it over and over and over, but it still brought back great memories....

20$ for this pixel trash? What next? Games imported from Nokia 1011?

I've been playing this game practically all my life (no, seriously) but I ran into a situation where I have reset multiple times and ran into an encounter on the exact same space with the exact same permutation of enemies. This happened 3-4 times in a row exactly the same way! It was just a random piece of grass on the underwater island not far from the town. Does anyone know anything about this? Is there actually a way to game the system and guarantee certain encounters (aside from save scumming)?...
