The game has proper 3D now with 3D cityscapes that stick out from the surface of planets instead of 2D icons.

The cityscapes or Sectors as they are called in-game have 4 different growth stages from Tier 1:

It's also possible to switch back to the old 2D icons by disabling 3D buildings in settings if you prefer the old style.

The sector stats screen was updated from being fullscreen to having the middle open so you can see skyscrapers be added when you upgrade a sector.

The 3d buildings being added required quite a bit of optimizations to get keep the game running smoothly even on phones, tablets, and low end PCs, so behind the scenes this update comes with new culling tech to hide meshes and lightsources behind other objects, and handle LODs in an intelligent way that Unity doesn't do well out of the box.


A "Shop" button has been added to the main screen with all the shops consolidated in one place:
The Hologram shop to buy holograms with Time Crystals has been changed to a Time Crystal Shop, and 4 new models of dreadnoughts with the same stats and research requirements as a normal dreadnought have been added to it.

On Android this engine update fixed a crash on launch issue with new devices.

I plan on putting some development time into Andromeda, so I'm getting this update out to make sure there are no hidden issues with the engine update before making more changes.
