I defeated the big skeleton and placed the crystal on the altar next to the pyramid. It floated up and I shot it. It exploded in a pink ball. But it looked like there was space for 3 more crystals. Was this the ending or did I ruin it?

As the title says. I placed the orb, the camera freaked out for a moment, and then nothing else happened. Nothing appeared, nothing is around, there is nothing anywhere.

i tried looking on youtube but couldn't find anything on it can someone help me please

I've tried clicking, pressing every key on my keyboard and nothing will work. im on mac if that changes anything.
