good game but I found a bug where my eyes kept sweating and there was water all over my vision

Before Your Eyes is a real gem of a game. Once in a while, a product emerges that proves that this form of media can go far beyond pure and mechanically repetitive, dopamine-inducing schemas for time-sinking entertainment. This is far from that descriptively cold slice on the industry.

Before Your Eyes is an outstanding example of gaming as an interactive art-form. Within an innovative and well-executed gameplay idea is a delicate and well-emotional story of a soul departing for the afterlife. Suffering from the unbearable heaviness of remembering, the protagonist is faced with revisiting his memories.

The life’s fleeting snapshots drawn in an impressionistic, stylised yet charming art style serve as an important reminder that life waits for no one and these fleeting moments, like most things, are only temporary. Life is to be experienced, and in the words of the acclaimed novelist and writer Franz Kafka: “The meaning of life is that it stops.”

Before Your Eyes is an existentialist treasure that does not overstay its welcome. It is not only played, but felt. Short and to the point, excellently voiced and written, it is well deserving of a standing, teary-eyed ovation.

10/10 would cry again!

I don't believe there's a more emotional game than this one. You can somehow form the deepest connections to every single character in just 4 hours, and when the game ends, it takes you down with it. Might I add the music is phenomenal?? I swear, it perfectly encapsulates the desired mood of the game and is one of the many reasons this game stands out like it does.

11/10, i cried.
