good game but I found a bug where my eyes kept sweating and there was water all over my vision

Before Your Eyes is an outstanding example of gaming as an interactive art-form. Within an innovative and well-executed gameplay idea is a delicate and well-emotional story of a soul departing for the afterlife. Suffering from the unbearable heaviness of remembering, the protagonist is faced with revisiting his memories.

The life’s fleeting snapshots drawn in an impressionistic, stylised yet charming art style serve as an important reminder that life waits for no one and these fleeting moments, like most things, are only temporary. Life is to be experienced, and in the words of the acclaimed novelist and writer Franz Kafka: “The meaning of life is that it stops.”

Before Your Eyes is an existentialist treasure that does not overstay its welcome. It is not only played, but felt. Short and to the point, excellently voiced and written, it is well deserving of a standing, teary-eyed ovation.

It was hard not to blink through the tears... 10/10.

This game was short and bittersweet, I genuinely replayed it again because I couldn't stop tears from coming out of my eyes (literally) the first time. I never knew staring contests as a kid would be handy. I'm glad I discovered this masterpiece and definitely even more worth it with sale, 9/10 beautifully made.

Before Your Eyes was gifted to me by a good friend. I let it sit for a year and a half because I heard it was sad. If there is one thing I can say, it is this; do not wait. Play. This. Game. It is simply extraordinary. I cried through the entire second half but I cannot explain how much this game means to me, even after just over an hour of playtime. Through the most heartwarming and heart-wrenching moments this game has a very important and beautiful story to tell, listen to it.

The true big goal in life is stopping and smelling the roses.

This game is a masterpiece. In 2h it is over and you will want to feel this all again.
