Was stage 45 supposed to be easy to solve or did I find an unintended solution ( I moved two blocks a total of 3 spaces )?

Having purchased Caliper, and gotten stuck on one of the puzzles, I am very hesitant to purchase Caliper II. In Caliper, I'm stuck on stage 9 (so I cannot proceed), and there is no help available anywhere -- no YouTube videos, no guides, and no responses on the discussion board. I can't help but wonder if Caliper II will suffer the same fate or if it will be better supported....
