FAQ
Why can't you put all your mods into one?
I won't put all my mods into one, here is a list of pro and contra of keeping this mod as it is:
PRO
  • This mods' basic concept is to be modular. This means it was meant that the user can choose which parts of the mod she/he wants.
  • It would be a huge waste of my development time to put all parts of this mod together into one and maintain 2 parallel versions of it.
  • If parts of the mod are buggy you don't have to deactivate it completely and loose for example your contracts in the PlayerTables
  • The modular aspect of this mod makes it faster and nimbler to fix problems and also for updates, each mod only takes about 10 minutes to compile and not hours
  • If i develop new content for my Capitalism eco system, i don't have to care if i crash my whole project, so i can put parts of it online even if it is still in development
CONTRA
  • If you update your server, it requires ~ 10 seconds to verify if one of my mods need an update or not
  • Due to the fact that ARK loads the PrimalGameDataBP for each mod, it consumes additional time for the clients to connect to the server, on my servers it takes ~ 1 minute to connect

What stacks modifying mods are currently supported?
Here is a list of mods which should work with the SellingTables:

  • Ultra Stacking
  • Xeno's stacks
  • SM Stacks
  • S.R.S - Rebalanced Stacks
  • Ark Advance 10.0
  • 100k Stack mod
If your stacking mod is not in the list above then it's mostly due to naming convention violations and the problem of not beeing able to securely determine correct item names.

As soon as the modder Qowyn will fix the PlayerTable (custom item description) issue, i'd strongly advise everyone to use the Ark Customizer -> ModID: 774413050

How can i get coins?
Sell stuff in the different SellTables, and/or put in my prepared code for spawning them in loot crates.

How do the Tables work?
You will find a brief description in the description area of each mod and you could have a look at Fryo Knight's mod showcase

How can i deactivate Engrams?
Only the Capitalism PlayerTrader has engrams, and those can be deactivated like it's stated in the corresponding discussion area.

How can i adjust prices?
Have a look in the discussions area of each mod

How is the Supply and Demand system working?
The system does utilize gus.ini settings for the desired supply and demand. Those settings could be for example:
S&DAnglerGel=15/50/100
The first number states the refill rate for each delivery cycle. The second number tells the system which supply or demand amount is desired. The third number states the absolute max value which is mainly used for the exponential cost calculation if supply or demand goes into minus value. If for example the supply of a ResourceBuyTable reaches -100, then the cost of another AnglerGel would be approximately infinite - hence it's definitely no longer available.

Why can Supply and Demand go negative?
This was implemented that way to simulate that the trade actor is normally out of stock but, so to say, manages to get emergency stock for a way higher price.

Which servers are running this mod?
Have a look in the discussions area of each mod, if someone has opened a thread to propose his/her server.

Hi Impulse!

We are currently making a good use of Capitalism in our server (Thanks for this awesome mods pack BTW) and I would like to:

First: report a small bug we found. Apparently, with each server reboot, stuff being sold in the Player Tables is disappearing. Could you check on that?

Second: a suggestion/question. Are you planning, or could coins have a weight? A tiny bit at least, to add some effort to have such valuables on you, and avoid having a million coins with you all the time and encourage players to create vaults or chest, and assault others in order to obtain chests, etc. We want turmoil and chaos yes... :) It's part of commerce though.

First:
thx for reporting this bug. What Tables exactly? What items were disappearing? At what position were this items, could it be, that they were corntracted last, or completely random?

Second:
The Coins have a weight (0.001) -> so 100k max Coin stack weights 100 ;)

Sorry I took a long time to answer. Wanted to run some more tests to give you an exact report.

Apparently, normal items like resources, ammo, weapons, tools, etc, are working fine.

The one which is actually vanishing on each server reboot are the Player Tables. Each time we reboot, we need to restock them for our players to buy them (we still don't allow them to build them themselves). Is this an intended behavior?

@Slizarus, We are using a modded version of ORP, since the core ORP not only blocked the market, but it caused tribes unable to form alliances (which is a bug I assume WildCard should adress soon). With the ORP 2 mod the market works just fine.

@Arkoli this is no intended behavior, but good to know. You could try to load the mod concerning the vanishing tables before the One you try to sell them in.

I'm confused. The only table that I can build without Glory Coins is the resource table, and I can't sell items there to get coins. How are coins first acquired?
