Altirus: The Second Leersog War (Skins, Weapons, Vehicles, Mutators)
Sofa  [developer] 2 Nov, 2022 @ 9:10am
FULL LIST OF SYRVANIAN EQUIPMENT
Common Equipment

Bottle Bomb
  • Slot: Gear
  • Type: Incendiary Grenade
“It’s called a ‘poor man’s grenade’, by morons. Regular hand grenades aren’t even that expensive. It’s harder to find something flammable that the motor troops won’t screech at you for even looking at. A bottle bomb can flush dug-in soldiers out of their holes, or even take out tanks or their crews if you hit them in the right spot.”
- Lukin
Note: Can damage tanks by targeting vents on engine deck

First-aid Kit
  • Slot: Gear
  • Type: Health
“A small box of stuff to heal and treat wounds. Just enough to get yourself or another soldier back on their feet. Can't reattach a leg or anything, though."
- Pavo

Box of Supplies
  • Type: Health / Ammo
  • Slot: Large Gear
“The motors can't follow us everywhere, someone has to carry stuff from camp into the fight so we don't go dry. Surgical kits, field dressing, ammo, grenades, whatever. Volunteers for platoon mule get first claim on resupply."
- Lukin

Repair Tool
  • Type: Repair
  • Slot: Small Gear
“Handy for quick fixes to equipment like mounted weapons. Fix a tank? Ha ha! No.”
- Pavo

Repair Kit
  • Type: Repair
  • Slot: Large Gear
“Spare parts, metal patches, and a library of different tools. Good idea to carry these on tanks and other vehicles for field repairs.”
- Lukin

Shovel
  • Type: Deployable
  • Slot: Small Gear
“Trusty shovel. Use it to dig yourself your own fighting position. Or a latrine.”
- Pavo

Binoculars
"A set of binoculars for surveying over long range. Also handy for estimating distance to targets. Not sure how it works, no choke sight or anything. Placebo, maybe?"
- Lukin
Note: Use fire button (default left mouse button) to estimate range to point of aim

Infantry Weapons

Kb.509
  • Slot: Primary
  • Type: Bolt-action rifle
  • Weight: Light
  • Cartridge: 6.72x53 Ministry
  • Origin: Syrvania
  • Variants:
    - Stock
    - Bayonet
    - Rifle Grenades
    - Scope
“Dad carried a rifle like this. All of our fathers probably did. We might even be carrying the same rifles they had when they stopped the Uprising. Not a gentleman’s rifle by any stretch, but even with mud and rain and neglect, the rifleman will break sooner than the Karby will. Though, the zeroes are a bit loose, and small-diameter bullets have a hard time killing past a certain distance.”
- Lukin

AtP.9-22
  • Slot: Primary
  • Type: Submachine Gun
  • Weight: Light
  • Cartridge: 9x18mm Tsolianets
  • Origin: Syrvania
  • Variants:
    - Stick mag (AtP.9-22/K; “Kompa”)
    - Drum mag (AtP.9-22/Z; “Zdurma”)
“Rickety little subgun cobbled together by farm children and widows back home. Nothing fancy on it, not made for comfort. At least they’re not making us carry the Zdurma drums around anymore, but the ones we do have make for nice trench-brooms.”
- Pavo

KbA.7-26
  • Slot: Primary
  • Type: Self-Loading Rifle
  • Weight: Light
  • Cartridge: 6.72x53 Ministry
  • Origin: Syrvania
“These new self-loaders apparently went through some trouble back home. The Akrovian company that makes the Stanlaw gave it to the factories so they could get up-to-date with metal stamping, but the Chergarian invasion threw a wrench into that. On the upside, the war gave the army a better idea for what they wanted, and the production department got it done just in time for our senior riflemen to carry them into Leersog. Maybe too soon. From what I hear, this rifle still needs some time in the oven."
- Lukin

Stanlaw Gun
  • Slot: Primary
  • Type: Medium Machine gun
  • Weight: Heavy
  • Cartridge: 7.69x56mm Rost
  • Origin: Akrovia
“The Defense Ministry’s been trying to get us off of Akrovia’s teat for years. For all the stuff that our own factories have been able to replace, the Stanlaw remains with us. Trouble is, it uses foreign bullets, and they already put the damn thing on every fighting machine and in the hands of every machine gunner. May be portable as far as machine guns go, but it’s still a machine gun; don’t expect results when firing from the hip.”
- Lukin

KbCz.8-23
  • Slot: Primary
  • Type: Anti-Tank Rifle
  • Weight: Medium
  • Cartridge: 8x110mm BCz.23-STS
  • Origin: Syrvania
“It’s a giant bolt-action rifle with special steel-core bullets for killing tanks. May take more than one shot to crack through the armor of a bigger tank, but 4 shots in a removable magazine means you have more chances to make a shot that gets through.”
- Pavo

K.30
  • Slot: Secondary, Gear
  • Type: Melee
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Origin: Syrvania
"You stab them with the pointy end. I got practice with that before the army. Simpler times... Not better ones."
- Pavo

P.9-24
  • Slot: Secondary
  • Type: Pistol
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Cartridge: 9x18mm Tsolianets
  • Origin: Syrvania
“Our countrymen in the factories have to put these together quickly. They say the Armory wants to start putting out better guns like the ones they’re giving to officers, but we’re stuck with this pointless lump of metal for the time being. Unreliable, but chances are you won’t have to rely on it much anyway.”
- Pavo

ObP.9-25
  • Slot: Secondary
  • Type: Machine-Pistol
  • Weight: Light
  • Cartridge: 9x18mm Tsolianets
  • Origin: Syrvania
“Rubbish pocket machine-pistol. Small enough to fit in a pistol holster, so tankmen can carry them inside their motors without it snagging, but the weapon is too light and shoddily put together, and the bullet has too much powder, so it’s impossible to hit anything. Good for spraying in close quarters, maybe, if you don’t have anything better.”
- Pavo

GaP.19 Frag
  • Slot: Gear
  • Type: Fragmentation Grenade
  • Origin: Syrvania
“It’s a hand grenade. You throw it and it explodes. Little bits of metal fly everywhere and hit people and kill them. What am I, a human encyclopedia? What more do you want from me? Go bother Lukin, he will tell you how the little bits that fly out relate to some legendary king or something.”
- Pavo

GaF.22 Smoke
  • Slot: Gear
  • Type: Smoke Grenade
  • Origin: Syrvania
“‘Infantry offensive smoke-generating device’; fancy name for a smoke bomb. Works like a regular hand grenade, but has a little bomb inside that cracks the thing open and puts out a smokescreen. Throw it at an enemy bunker, trench, tank, or whatever to blind the men inside for a good 40 seconds or so. The smoke itself is harmless. I think.”
- Pavo

GaH.25 Chemical-Incendiary
  • Slot: Gear
  • Type: Poison Grenade
  • Origin: Syrvania
“Don’t know what they put in these, but it smells awful and causes flesh to boil from the inside out. Can get at anyone, even if they’re wearing a gas mask or are in a tank or bunker. Throw it as far as you can, and don’t go anywhere near where it landed for a while; you don’t want to get it on you, and you don’t want to see what it does to the people you throw it at.”
- Pavo

Pr.22
  • Slot: Large Gear
  • Type: Flamethrower
  • Weight: Medium
  • Origin: Syrvania
“There are two sorts of people at the end of a flamethrower: Cowards, or kindling. Neither can effectively man a defensive position. Think of a nice, roaring bonfire upon a peaceful evening in the meadow as you try not to look at the burning corpses or stumble into your own fire you’ve started.”
- Lukin

Satchel Charge
  • Slot: Large Gear
  • Type: Large Explosive
  • Origin: Syrvania
“Timed explosives stuffed into a sack for sappers and engineers. Drop it at the feet of whatever you want to disappear, then cover your ears, count to six, and run like hell is chasing you.”
- Pavo

Vehicles and Emplaced Weapons

Troop Carrier Civjetsitraktor
  • Armament:
    - Pintle-Mounted 8mm Stanlaw (MG Variant)
  • Crew:
    - Driver
    - Machine Gunner (MG Variant)
    - 8x dismounts (Stock variant) or 6x dismounts (MG variant)
  • Variants:
    - Stock
    - MG
“Hear this thing was originally made for farm work. Never seen one out in the fields myself. Seems handier for hauling boots and their kit around anyway. More or less bulletproof, but not a tank.”
- Pavo

Light Tank CzL.2
  • Armament:
    • Long 34mm cannon
      - High Explosive
      - Armor Piercing
      - Smoke
    • Coaxial 8mm Stanlaw machine gun
  • Crew:
    - Commander/Driver/Gunner
    - 4x dismounts (Desant variant)
  • Variants:
    - Standard
    - Desant (4x dismounts, more aggressive behavior)
“This light tank led the charge into Leersog and is still at the vanguard. Not as tough as the old CzL.1, but replaces the dreadful old Chimneypipe turrets with a new two-man turret, with a longer gun that can deal with tanks better. Covers ground faster, too. Tank troops sometimes clear the spares off the back and ride it into battle when tractors aren’t available. As long as they get permission from the crew, anyway; not all of them are keen on playing taxi for the boots.”
- Lukin

Light Tank CzL.1
  • Armament:
    • Short 34mm cannon
      - High Explosive
      - Armor Piercing
      - Smoke
    • Coaxial 8mm Stanlaw machine gun
  • Crew:
    - Commander-Gunner/Driver
“Also called the Czyeda. Leftovers from the Chergarian invasion a few years ago. Motor Arms wanted to do more with the thing, but never got the chance, so we’re left with this rolling junkheap. Tougher than it looks, travels through woods well enough, but not fast enough to go with tank troops, and the gun’s not good enough for dealing with bigger tanks. Usually found back with the infantry divisions, but the Rapid Divisions might scoop a couple up if nothing else is available.”
- Lukin

Flame Tank OlCzL.1 “Pichklo”
  • Armament:
    - Flamethrower
  • Crew:
    - Commander-Gunner/Driver
“Motor Arms had to think of something to do with all the old Czyeda tanks lying around after the invasion, so they took em apart and turned them into specialist vehicles, like the Pichklo. Small, fairly tough, and handy for clearing out trenches and pillboxes with its flamethrower.”
- Lukin

Medium Tank CzS.2
  • Armament:
    • Long 57mm cannon
      - High Explosive
      - Armor Piercing
      - Smoke
    • Coaxial 8mm Stanlaw machine gun
    • Bow 8mm Stanlaw machine gun
  • Crew:
    - Commander/Driver/Gunner
    - Bow machine-gunner
“Universal fighting tank of the armored and rapid forces. Showed up late to the party thanks to some problems coming off the assembly line, but does a better job dealing with enemy armor and fortifications than the light tanks.”
- Lukin

Rocket Artillery TkCv.22/Rk-28
  • Armament:
    - 8x 280mm HE rockets
  • Crew:
    - Driver/Gunner
“Sure, the Durg can rain a terrible, wailing hell on any plot of land we want to disappear, but it’s a sitting duck after it does so. Smoke trails from the rockets point right back to it while the crew loads up another salvo, so Hettska artillery have an easy time sighting in counter-battery fire. Bolting the launcher to the back of a fighting tractor lets it get up and go before that happens, even if that means one less tractor for us to ride. Always a welcome sight while on the advance, even if the noise still chills my bones.”
- Lukin

Biplane Fighter MyS.25
  • Armament:
    - 2x 8mm Stanlaw machine guns (armor-piercing incendiary tracer rounds)
    - 2x 70kg bomb (Bomb variant)
  • Crew:
    - Pilot
  • Variants:
    - Standard
    - Bomb
“The boys at Aerodomy’s factory got the plans and parts for the Elandric Panevi F-521. A couple minor tweaks later, army air corps gets the MyS.25, a sleek, nimble little dogfighter. We all know that all-metal monoplanes are the way of the future, but the battle for Leersog's skies is happening in the present.”
- Szamos

Light Bomber SbL.22
  • Armament:
    - 6x 250kg bombs
    - 1x flexible 8mm Stanlaw machine gun in nose glazing
    - 1x flexible 8mm Stanlaw machine gun in rear-dorsal fuselage
  • Crew:
    - Pilot / Bombardier
    - Nose machine gunner
    - Rear machine gunner
"'The bomber always gets through', they say. Experience has shown otherwise, but a bomber that can move at speed can increase its chances. Unfortunately, by the time Aerodomy was finally able to get the SbL.22 airworthy as our first domestically made, modern bomber, there's plenty in the sky that can catch up to it. Best to fly with escorts, or learn to see and avoid where the enemy is focusing his attention."
- Szamos

Machine Gun Stanlaw AA Mount
  • Ammunition: 7.69x56mm Rost
  • Origin: Akrovia
"Stanlaw. On an AA mount. Exotic!"
- Pavo

Wireless Set RO/D22
"New divisional wireless telegraphy sets. Got no clue what all these knobs and dials and switches are for, but a trained operator with a map and a pair of binoculars can use it to call in mortar fire. Modern wizardry if I ever seen it!"
- Lukin

Anti-Tank Gun Ck.34-22
  • Ammunition:
    - 34mm armor-piercing
    - 34mm high-explosive
"The gun is small, its carriage is small, its ammo is small; if the Hettska didn't leave any of their Bressian 37mm guns behind, these should do the job just fine against light armor and soft targets. Against heavier kit like the Mathis, though, don't expect much."
- Lukin

Rocket Artillery RkP.25 Durg
  • Ammunition: 280mm HE rockets
“It’s ill luck to speak of the Durg and other such spirits, yet we name our weapons after her, just from the sound they make. Doc said Wadislaw had a brain hemorrhage, but I swear I saw her stalking the camp last night; a dead widow in bloodied rags, the howling of the rockets masking her deathly scream as she took Wadislaw's soul back into the woods with her. We will see her and her sisters again. From what we saw marching into town this morning, after what the rockets left, there are a lot of dead widows haunting us.”
- Pavo

Lukin is now my favorite Altirus character.

I wonder which real life guns inspired those from Altirus. pretty sure Sotekin Pocket 9 is just a tiny thompson.
