Why is it not integrated on steam by default?

At first the workshop must be finalized. Then we can think.

- Open the Gothic properties > beta-versions > on the dropdown menu choose the "workshop - beta".
- After that go to this page and click to the Subscribe button.
- Start playing the game from the Steam and choose the Mod launcher.

I see the workshop - beta for Original game, how about for complete mods, such as Chronicles of Myrtana?

Some completed mods already uploaded to the workshop. Other authors will do the same.

I am trying this on steam deck, but i get an error "steam must be running to start the mod launcher" would you have any advice?

Interesting. Are you sure Steam is running normal? Try this:
- log-out from the Steam
- reboot PC
- run the Steam and wait for the update to finish
- log-in to the steam
- set the 'online' status in the 'friends' menu
- run the Gothic game from the Steam and choose the Mod launcher

If the problem persists, write to Steam support and to the workshop thread with a mention of Steam deck.
Please let me know about the results.

Thank you for the detailed answer. In the end, I was able to get it to work by first starting the other launcher option once (G2: Classic) and then going back to the Mod Launcher. Unfortunately, the mods were not able to help me with my issue of game crashing when entering Jhakendar :(

There can be many reasons. Please find the 'Gothic II\System\Gothic2.rpt' after the crash and send me this file.
Also on the Linux I have seen similar situations. Try to disable this option temporarily: Gothic.ini > Sound > musicEnabled=0

Hello, I just found out about the workshop version of this mod, and I'm having a problem.

I'm playing on Linux Mint, and whenever I try to start the game with Union enabled through mod launcher, i get this error

-DEP has been changed. It is recommended to restart the PC.
-UI scaling has been changed

Please restart the game.

The game then crashes on startup, I don's see the NotR logo. But when launching only Gothic 2 through mod launcher without Union, the game starts normally.

Hi,
Information about the message added in TODO.

If you are playing on Linux then try to change/create option SystemPack.ini > DEBUG > EmulatorMode=1

Tried it, the result is the same. It only appears once when I start/restart Steam, after that it just crashes on startup without a message (a black window appears in the corner then just crashes).

Check this page[worldofplayers.ru] > english tab > Run under Wine. This might be helpful. And set next options: FixBink=0, EnableWrapper=0

Tried those, but the message is still the same. I'll try tomorrow on a fresh install again on both workshop and normal install with Wine config and additional options.
