If the Desert Rangers lose in their fight against the guardians/kaga/215th, it'd be cool to see some of their generals come back to rejoin the fight in Arizona somehow.
Maybe slow down the rate of early growth a bit, or add some events/focuses that explain more in detail why this happens. Currently it feels a bit like you just decide to become the Rangers again, and they all start flocking back right away, with the NCR willingly giving up their elite soldiers simply because you asked them. It's the NCR, surely they'd wanna tax you at least. And starting up the rangers when it's made clear they lost and fled at the beginning, should require more i think.
The regular infantry unit models are the same as the NCR troopers atm, but it'd be cool if they looked like the Desert Rangers infantry model. Didn't they actually have the same model in the past? Could've sworn i've seen that when i previously played your mod.
This is all personal preference of course. And thank you for making this awesome mod to begin with :)
Thanks man - some good feedback. The ranger path was made mostly before the big update to the NCR, and hasn't had any attention from me since then. So i think definitely in need of an update to flow better with the California update. For example, the skins of the soldiers got changed in that update which impacted my mod and i haven't gone and updated.
Adding Cowboy Country to the custom game settings before starting the game so the player can choose which path CC is gonna go down. I'm currently doing an NCR run where I want the Arizona rangers to join but I'm having to restart the game over and over until the AI decides to go down the ranger path. Otherwise great mod!
