They sit standing
So, i have this mod through Genesis, and fore some weird reasons they don't sit, they stand, as my praerotian hiver, all the animations work with their patched but they stand on the stools

Same with me and I don't have genesis. I've installed the necessary patches. I'm using the Lionhead, my character neighter sits nor lays down in a bed.

Turns out the offending mod was "Wakigawa's Animation Overhaul"

They just need a compatibility patch to make use of the animations. Easy to make yourself, as well.
