Weapons
Every class is able to use two weapon categories, one normal and one heavy. Also, a secondary.

'Normal' primary weapons are the shotgun and the assault rifle.
Heavy primary weapons are the sniper rifle and the cannon.

Rangers can use the shotgun, the cannon and the sword.
Specialists can use the rifle, the sniper and the gremlin.
Sharpshooters can use the shotgun, the sniper and the pistol.
Grenadiers can use the rifle, the cannon and the launcher.
Scouts can use the rifle, the sniper and the holotargeter.
Infantry use the rifle, the cannon and the sawed off shotgun.

The weapons went through some changes, too. Some more, some less. The goal was making them mechanically unique and play significantly different than the other weapons.

Every class can pick between two weapons now, so the individual weapons can be more specialised to their job now. This was inspired by the weapons the faction classes in WotC use.

Rifle
+ has an extra mod slot

Shotgun
+ provides Deep Cover
+ damage is the highest of all primaries
- Single Reload, every reload action only reloads a single shot
- Aim/Range table has been modified, the shotgun is now less accurate at medium to long range

Cannon
+ high environmental damage
+ lots of ammo
+ has "Spray" ability which doesn't end the turn but carries an aim penalty
- heavy weapon: 2 actions per shot
- heavy weapon: one less modslot than in vanilla
- requires 2 actions to reload

Sniper Rifle
+ provides Squad Sight
+ armor pierce
- heavy weapon: 2 actions per shot
- heavy weapon: one less modslot than in vanilla

The following Secondaries exist and these are the classes associated with them:

- Sword: Ranger

- Pistol: Sharpshooter

- Launcher: Grenadier

- Gremlin: Specialist

- Sawed Off: Infantry

- Holotargeter: Scout
