You don't like my ARSENAL OF REVOLUTION? You don't like shooting royalists? You're more the type to throw yourself protectively between the rabid squirrel and the nobleman?

The words "god save the king" sends a shiver down your spine? Or do you just want more weapons?

Then I proudly present the Arsenal of Reaction!

This mod currently includes 52 vanilla friendly weapons (custom sounds included), which are CE compatible and (hopefully) balanced. I plan to add more weapon packs with each (bigger) update.

Let's start with the Confederation of Man weapon pack, a mix of the Terran Confederacy from Starcraft and the "fascists" of the Coalition of Ordered Governments from Gears of War. Yes that's right, you get a Lancer. Vroom-Vroom with a Southern flair.

The second weapon pack comes from the remnants of the destroyed Interstellar Tsarist Empire. Driven from their castles and mansions by a bloody revolution, the nobles have vowed bitter revenge. This weapon set is inspired of the White Army during the Russian Civil War, mixed with some Wolfenstein and a touch of Gears of War. More content will come for this weapon pack.

My third weapon pack is about the scum of the galaxies. Hired thugs, mercenaries, pirates, all the filth that is hired by the royalists to do the dirty work. I used the futuristic weapons from CoD Black Ops III as a template. The weapons have a high magazine size, are relatively cheap, but have modest accuracy and moderate firepower.

And here is the fourth weapon pack.What happens when you mix Adeptus sororitas with Killzone and and add a breeze of Chtulu Mythos? That's right. We have a really nasty, obscure cult with warrior nuns, big guns and human sacrifices. (More weapons to follow.)

FAQ




Q: Is your weapon pack vanilla friendly?

A: Yes, I think so! I'm a big fan of vanilla expanded and tried to keep the weapon models simple. The background story of my mods fits in my opinion in the rimworld universe.

A: The origin of the weapons in this package represent monarchist, militarist or simply reactionary factions, embedded in the Rimworld universe.

Q: Oh really? Is this a weapon or a faction mod?

A: It's only a weapon mod. If I still make matching factions, I will post them in separate mods.

Q: Reactionary, yeah? Is there also content with swastikas and other Nazi stuff?

A: No. Such content is neither included nor will it come. I will certainly not disfigure Rimworld with this Nazi crap.

Q: Okay. Well, well. Is this mod compatible with Combat Extended?

A: YES, IT IS.

Q: Is your mod balanced?

A: I hope so. My mod is mainly balanced for CE, but please, give me a feedback in the comments!

I'd be leaning more to the gauss rifle from Starcraft 1 and Brood War rather then the box the 2.

One thing I think would be missing with these weapons an aesthetics is music like the the Jukebox songs from Starcraft 2 or Brood War Aria

I don't know what happen but the ammo type got messed up for some of the guns in CE. Like the Frateris is using 5.56 NATO and not the 7.93 Kurz, even though somehow, in the mod CE patch file the <ammoSet> is properly set to 7.93 Kurz.

The reason for this are the new weapons: I have created several new weapons in the last few months, but no more CE patches. I haven't used CE myself for a while and I won't include a CE patch with my mods anymore. However, there are already people who want to take care of it in the future.

Mod Arsenal of Reaction dependency (4YDRA.ArsenalofCORE) needs to have <downloadUrl> and/or <steamWorkshopUrl> specified.

Hello.

After yesterday 11.4.2024 . Anomaly update I observe issues with Arsenal reaction + CE weapons. It looks like the CE rules are not apply at them I test different weapons an weapons pack. I keep my game at 1.4.3901
unfortunately the Reaction core do not work with CE for every of my saves.
I do not subscribe any 1,5 mod. (but do not know if they are updated automaticaly and how to prevent it)

Hey there!

I am playing with Vanilla Combat Reloaded, and I am a mixed bag with your mod.

I LOVE the guns. They always look great, sound great, all of it. I love using it... But boy does it feel a bit OP.

I think the burst amount of the guns is a bit too high, if I had to think about it. It's a bit too easy to get the guns while the burst amount of them is fairly high. 11 or 12 shots per every second to two seconds is a lot, which I think could be reduced a little bit.

Up to you, just wanted to give some feedback!
