Protoball is a futuristic First Person Sports Shooter, a blend of basketball and soccer crossed with high tech futuristic style. Players athletically jump, slide, run, grind and dash around the arena trying to pass the Protoball through the opponents goal. This is the game you've been waiting for.

Wozu Early Access?

„We're a small but passionate development team, our community is the most important part of Protoball. We've been alpha & beta testing the game for two years now and we're ready to expand into a larger audience and stress test our systems. To do this we need more players!

//The game is nearly complete, but we still have some polishing and tweaking to do and we need your help! More players will help us test our infrastructure and game design. Early Access is kind of like a "Soft Opening" for us.//

The above was true when we first released EA. We've since remade the game from scratch in Unreal Engine 5.6 and it is not nearly complete. We are very early on in development, but the game feels great and the game loops is working solid. Please give it a shot! Graphics will improve over time. “

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„The full version will be completely cross platform on Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Users will be able to keep their full inventories from PC on any platform once released.

It will feature more game modes, better graphics (no more placeholders), extra cosmetic assets (outfits, VFX and more), more animations (physics driven for more realism and epic ragdolls!), competitive optimization, competitive and casual queues as well as a Party Queue!

We intend to have the following for full release;

Complete Competitive Balance & Optimization
Polished Graphics & Animations
A large (and ever growing) inventory of custom outfits & VFX
Team Integration - You might compare this to a guild or clan in other games. Teams will be able to customize their team uniforms (Home, Away and a 3rd Variant) and roster. (Update - Already Added!)
Leaderboards, Leagues/Divisions, Tournaments(Update - Already Added!)
Dodgeball Mode - Everyone loves dodgeball! (Update - Already Added!)
Laser Tag Mode - A true test of FPS skill with hit-scan laser beams and athletic movement. (We may change this to "slow foam balls" instead of lasers...)
More and more - Our community has already contributed so much, and we expect that, as it grows, we'll gain even more great ideas and insight

After a long period of down time we have started development on Protoball again. We've started from scratch in Unreal Engine 5.6 and have rewritten the game entirely. We're currently testing and in development. Please be patient as we continue to improve and grow Protoball.

WE ARE BACK IN EARLY ACCESS! After a small(long) time sleeping, the game is back!

Major Thanks to our awesome community that helped us play test to get the game ready for Early Access- you guys are the best! Seriously, not even joking, without the community this would just be a good idea. You're really the best.

The year is 2113 - Protoball is a futuristic sports shooter. Protoball blends FPS/TPP shooting mechanics with sports game play. Players athletically jump, slide, run, grind, and dash their way around the arena trying to pass the Protoball through their opponents goal. Players can shoot curve balls, passes, bounce shots, fake-outs and more.

Shoot your opponent with an energy shield projectile, or use it to deflect the ball and make a big play. Curve the ball, pass the ball, bounce the ball and more... Your skill and creativity is the only real limit.

We are currently still in early development, and our vision for Protoball is grand. We're a small but dedicated indie duo developing this game for the love of the game. Join us and together we will make Protoball the best that it can be. If you join the discord and ask any of the Playtesters and you'll find that we've incorporated and implemented many of the community's suggestions and ideas. You can help too if you join the discord!
