Why Early Access?

“"The Three Kingdoms: The Tales of Jian An" is the original IP of Kaiyi Studio and the studio's first product. We adopt the traditional turn-based strategy gameplay, but the game's story design is distinctly different from most Han and Three Kingdoms games, as it is a rec creation based on historical documents and historical literature. Therefore, more time is needed to refine the plot. We hope to interact and communicate with our supportive players through the Early Access version to make the game better.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Regarding the early access status, the studio plans to transition to the official full version no later than May 2025, within six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Regarding the complete version, our plans mainly include the following points:
1. The narrative content will be written up to the point where the alliance of Sun and Liu defeated Cao Cao's southern campaign at the Red Cliffs.
2. Combat content will be supplemented based on the development of the plot.
3. Updates and optimizations in terms of art and special effects.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The development progress of "Jian'an Foreign History" Early Access version is about 90% of the whole game, with the main system architecture, functions, and the content of the early and middle-stage plots completed. Players will be able to experience the following core contents:
1. The main story from Prologue to Chapter Ten.
2. Character development and treasure collection.
3. Standard turn-based strategy gameplay.
4. Detailed introduction of historical and cultural content.
5. Extremely rich plot exploration.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price with the introduction of new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We currently do not have platforms such as Weibo or Facebook for discussion, and mainly interact with players and fans through Baidu Tieba and QQ groups, while also paying attention to the discussions on the Steam forums and making internal and game corrections based on suggestions provided by players.”
