What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Even though the game is functionally complete as the video-game version of a board game, I intend to add some more features before I consider it complete. That being said, making it available now get's it in people's hands, and hopefully provides more feedback, that will result in a better end product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is to release the game by the end of January, 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In future, we hope to add an offline single-player hotseat mode, as well as an MMR PvP system and leaderboard for player's to prove they are the greatest Push-ers of all. If time permits, I plan on adding an interactive tutorial (though there are instruction in the game already), as well as Steam achievements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is feature complete for Online PvP, where players can create and join rooms, and play each other. There may be bugs here and there.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This is a passion project, the game will not be priced differently. I want anyone who comes across it to grab a friend, and enjoy some battles.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There is a discord server available, and I will be keeping an eye on as many other communication streams as I can. Best to leave feedback on that server, or via the usual means on Steam.”

About This Game

Push 3D is a digital re-creation of the Push board-game, created by Dave Shedden. In this game, players take turns moving a game piece around a Hex-based board. On their turn, a player can make two out of three choices. They can flip a tile, making it a "Slip" surface, where moving across them will cause the piece to slip to the other side. Alternatively, players can move their piece in a given direction, or, if they are in a direct line with each other, they can "Push" their opponent backwards.

Can you out-think your opponent as the board fills with Slip tiles? Are you cunning enough to be the Player that pushes the other off the board, sealing your victory as champion? Prove it now, by playing a friend in this online multi-player game.
