What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I released the game's playtest, then realized that I was just going to be accepting anyone in to play anyway, so I figured that I would release in early access. This also helps me slowly roll out changes and updates to be given feedback on that way once the game is fully released it would be the best version it could be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“most likely a year from now (5/9/24), as the game does not have all the planned content currently.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game is planned to include 5 chapters (50 levels), with 1 boss per chapter, and is planned to include more weapons and enemies. The plan will be to make a more polished game than it is now in early access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game includes 4 levels, with 3 normal levels and 1 boss level. Currently includes 4 enemy types and 2 boss enemies, and 4 weapons the player can use. Multiple "arms" are included, mainly a grappling hook and melee arm. For more features or outlines on gameplay, see the "About This Game" section below.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Most likely not, the game is currently planned to be free in all regions.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will look at and consider the feedback we receive. We would greatly appreciate players making their concerns or critiques known (such as with enemies, weapons, or levels) as it will help make [TSN] the best game it could be.”

About This Game

[Test Subject Name] is an FPS Platformer that sees you descend through layers of test chambers, fighting multitudes of robots along the way, and coming in contact with intelligent machines that want you dead.

Use your robotic implants and marksmanship to combat the hordes of hostile machines, and try to figure out if the voices you keep hearing through the speakers are friends or foes, or both.

Keep swapping and dropping guns as they start to overheat, and decide whether to use a laser-powered sniper rifle or a radon-fueled minigun, or simply return to your trusty revolver.
