Why Early Access?

“I have been working on Golf Gambit for 2 years as a solo developer. I have had great support from friends and family but to make the game as good as it can be I want to continue the development taking into account the feedback and ideas from players. Early Access is the ideal way for me to involve players in shaping the future of Golf Gambit and I’m excited to see what we will create together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I will be targeting to release the 1.0 version of Golf Gambit after 12 months in Early Access but the true timeline will depend on many things. As I will be taking player feedback into account my timelines might change but I will keep players updated with development progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I am aiming to significantly increase the content of the full version of the game as detailed below. This may change based on player feedback.
  • 6 Courses with 18 holes on each, totalling 108 holes total
  • Over 40 unique traps
  • Single-player mode, with or without traps.
  • 8 Player multiplayer, fully customizable to tailor the best mini-golf experience.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable with the following content:
  • 4 Courses, with 18 holes on each, totaling 72 Holes
  • 20 unique traps
  • Single-player mode, with or without traps.
  • 8 Player multiplayer, fully customizable to tailor the best mini-golf experience.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I might increase the price of the final version of the game once all the additional content has been added. If I do decide to do this I will clearly communicate this in advance of any change to the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am hoping the community will play an active role in the development of Golf Gambit. I will be monitoring online discussions with a particular focus on Steam and Golf Gambit’s official Discord for feedback. I expect to make changes and improvements to Golf Gambit based on the feedback from the community and new content could be inspired by community suggestions. I’m excited to work with the community to make Golf Gambit the best game it can be.”

Unleash chaos in Golf Gambit: a mini-golf game with a twist! Golf Gambit introduces traps to the classic mini-golf experience, making every game you play with your friends fresh and exciting. Navigate your way past your opponents' lasers, ramps, tornados, and exploding barrels (and maybe even deploy a few of your own) to reach the hole in the fewest number of shots.
