“Our goal with SMITE 2 has always been to make SMITE, but better. We believe the only true way to achieve this is with ongoing feedback from our community as they know the game best. Early Access is the best fit for this format of game development.”

“We expect SMITE 2 to be in Early Access development at least through early 2025. Given the nature of Early Access development, we don't have a specific end date planned at this time.”

“We expect the full version of SMITE 2 to include a more-complete, more-polished set of features, a more fleshed out god roster, more game modes and content in comparison to the Early Access version.

During Early Access, our plan is to release a Major Update every month containing new and fan favorite gods, new content and more, as well as patches and balance updates as we respond to player feedback.

Early Access is available as a free-to-play title with additional cosmetic benefits available for players who buy a Founder’s Edition. Founder's Editions are expected to remain available for purchase throughout the Early Access period. However, they may eventually be replaced by other DLC offerings.

We’ll be sharing more details about our development roadmap and our current priorities on our social channels and as part of regular update shows.”

“SMITE 2 is currently in Open Beta phase, Free-to-Play for all players to enjoy!

The SMITE 2 Alpha period built a strong foundation of a game that we believe has become truly fun to play and already better than SMITE 1 in many areas. Now in Open Beta phase, we aim to make continuous improvements, opening the door for new gameplay and tech innovations.

We want to build upon that foundation with a core group of early adopter players, who choose to take part in Early Access. Please share your feedback with us via social media, in-game surveys and just playing the game so we can make a truly great SMITE experience.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“SMITE 2 is now available Free-to-Play! While the Founder’s Editions will no longer gate access to SMITE 2, they will still be available for purchase.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We believe in a community driven approach to game development. During the Alphas we’ve already been gathering and analyzing your feedback via social media, surveys, Discord and more, and continue to keep this front of mind when making changes to SMITE 2.

Our official Discord server, linked from the game client, offers a place to leave feedback, and we will also be checking feedback here in our Steam discussion forums, and wherever else we can find public discussion about the game. We expect to make many changes and improvements inspired by our player community, and will discuss these in our dev showcase streams and other social content, as well as in depth in the patch notes for each update.

Additionally, players may improve this game simply by playing, as anonymous gameplay data is transmitted to us, which we utilize for things like balance adjustments of individual gods based on their real win/loss rates. A lot of this data is also publicly visible via partner stat tracker sites. The combination of our impressions as a development team, feedback we're hearing from our player community, and gameplay data we're collecting from players all should help us form a more-complete picture of how we can make SMITE 2 the best it can be.”
