„When we created Gemelli Games, one of our core intents was to get player feedback early and iterate continuously throughout development to make sure we deliver a game that players will enjoy. The feedback and suggestions we received over 3 years of development, with numerous private playtests, two public playtests and a free demo have greatly helped us in improving our formula for fast-paced tactical RPG battles. Early Access is the logical next step for us to keep improving the game.”

„Currently, we are planning for about a year of Early Access in order to collect as much feedback as possible, have enough time for our team to integrate it, and deliver the additional content we have in mind. However, this duration is not set in stone, as we wish to give us some leeway to work with the feedback of the community and adjust the game as more and more people play it.”

„The full version is planned to include additional chapters of the Campaign, more playable Champions, with their own Personas and Artifacts, and additional features such as various difficulty modes. We are looking to release the first major update this winter and to keep a seasonal pace afterwards until 1.0.”

„Launching in Early Access, the game will include 9 playable Champions with their own Persona and Artifacts, a Campaign mode with the first 3 chapters for a total of 16 missions, and an Arena mode with 4 different maps, where you can play 20-minute matches in PvP through online matchmaking, against a friend, or solo against an AI.”

„We are expecting to raise the price of the game when 1.0 launches as it will have more content and features available. Those who buy the game in Early Access will keep it and enjoy all the updates for free. We will make an announcement in advance of the price change.”

„Any player can share their feedback, ask questions, suggest new features or report issues they have. Players can join our official Discord from the game’s start screen and share their feedback with us in the dedicated channels. They can also share their suggestions or report issues here in Steam discussion forums, which we monitor as well. We’re expecting to update the game depending on the feedback we’re getting, if we consider it is relevant and goes in the direction we have for the game. We’re also monitoring players data as they play the game, which can help to give direction to balance the game. When appropriate, we plan on explaining to players how their feedback is helping shape the updates we’ll be rolling.”

Centuries ago, a cataclysm shattered the world of Skygard.

Since then, five Factions have lived on floating shards across the sky, fighting for resources. In order to avoid incessant war, Factions settle their disputes by sending their Champions face each other in the Tournament of the Ancients.

But this time, the prize of the Grand Tournament is a mysterious, ancient crown, recently discovered. The winner will be free to use the powerful relic as they wish.

Will this relic be a beacon of peace and unity between the factions? Or does it hold other secrets that could change Skygard forever?

  • A colorful roster of unique Champions - Choose among 9 Champions to play with, each with their own playstyle, skills and passive abilities. New Champions are planned to be released throughout Early Access!

  • Combine multiple actions on every turn - Position your Champions strategically and choose wisely which actions to use. From primary, secondary, and ultimate skills, to teleportation and objective capture, you have a whole array of tactical options at your disposal.

  • Always on the move - On every turn, you have multiple options to reposition your Champions: movement points, movement skills, or teleportation between two Pillars under your control.

  • Assemble a team that fits your playstyle - Combine 3 Champions, choose their Persona and equip them with Artifacts to create a unique team among thousands of possibilities.

  • 1 Champion, 2 Personas - Each Champion can embody two different Personas, alternate versions with their own appearance, gameplay and skillset. Choose wisely which Persona to bring for each Champion and create synergies.

  • Game-changing Artifacts - Each Champion can carry one Artifact, an item that will boost their statistics or grant them a unique passive.

  • Save Skygard -  Follow the five Factions of Skygard in epic encounters for the future of their world. The Tournament of the Ancient starts, and several forces clash to obtain a mysterious crown… The first 3 chapters, which include 16 missions total, will be available at Early Access launch, with more to come in future updates.

  • Play handcrafted tactical missions - Each mission offers a new challenge. Face powerful bosses, dozens of enemies at once, and discover unique maps in a tactical experience of its own, built from the ground up for solo play.

  • Learn more about the Champions - Discover the Champions of Skygard, their backstory, and what’s at stake for them.

  • Short and intense battles - Play freely 20-minutes duels. Build your own teams and put in place your best strategies to outsmart the opposing team.

  • Choose your path to victory - Eliminate Champions and capture Pillars to gather victory points, or risk it all with an assault on your opponent’s Main Pillar for an immediate win!

  • Casual or competitive - Fight against your friends online in friendly matches, or climb the ranks in online matchmaking to prove your mastery!

  • A fair PvP experience - With split progression systems between Campaign and Arena, and no RNG for status conditions, critical hits or hit chances, we have created a level playing field for your strategist skills to shine. There are no microtransactions either: unlock all Champions, their Personas and their Artifacts simply by playing.

  • Play solo against our AIs developed in-house - We offer two kinds of AI: Classic AI, which makes its decisions every turn, and Experimental AI, inspired by chess engines, which plans several turns in advance. You can play against 3 different levels of Experimental AI: each one modifying the number of tools at its disposal and ability to plan ahead. The last level features teams built by us, for the most challenging experience!

  • An evolving game - We’re planning on releasing fixes, balancing patches and content updates regularly for the Campaign mode (new missions and Champions) and the Arena mode (new Champions and maps) throughout Early Access.

  • Chat with the community - Join our Discord server to share your latest team compositions, meet new opponents or simply chat about the game!
