What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The base gameplay is in a pretty good state already, but it could use some enemy and weapon variety. There are two major systems that aren't in the game yet – Randomized Power-Ups ("3 buffs, pick one, maybe reroll"), and Crafting (which would let you modify stats and effects on items you found). Another big task is Bosses – we want to avoid bullet sponges and we'd like to allow players to use their entire arsenal (including abilities for enemy self-damage) to defeat them.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to increase the price after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be actively participating in Steam discussions. Also, our free demo will remain available during the entire Early Access period, so that more people can try the game and leave feedback.”

Combat Complex is a fast-paced ARPG / roguelike hybrid with lasers, alien bugs, WASD / twin-stick controls, random loot, and procedurally-generated levels. ARPG / ROGUELIKE HYBRID

Loot is permanent (as soon as you bring it home) but power-ups are lost on death.

TURN YOUR ENEMIES' ATTACKS AGAINST THEM!

Lure them into their own lasers, or pull them into their own exploding bombs. Get creative!

No level is the same – levels are generated procedurally to keep the challenge fresh.
