Why Early Access?

“Throne of Bone has been developed in close collaboration with playtesters through its demo and Steam Playtest build for over a year. Qualitative feedback in our Discord server has been incredibly insightful, and it's now time to widen the audience to improve content through quantitative analysis. Additionally, we want to have an open exchange with the community to create the best features for a rewarding long-term play experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Throne of Bone aims to be in Early Access for 4 to 8 months to provide enough time to iterate on content and deliver what the community feels is best for the long-term play features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to have a deeper end-game experience, like an unlockable progressive difficulty mode, and a richer social experience for the "friendly battle" mode. As we iterate during Early Access we want to hear from you what you feel is more rewarding beyond simply winning roguelike runs!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The first Early Access build has all 6 Necromancers characters, 60+ minions, 50+ spells, dozens of enemies, and unlockable lore in the Grimoire.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There will be a small price increase with the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Throughout Early Access Throne of Bone will have biweekly update patches to deliver new features with time for iteration and feedback. Additional hotfix patches for bugs and balance will be deployed between these update patches. Feedback, strategy discussion, and bug reporting is already underway in our Discord, as well as occasional friendly competitions.”

About This Game

Rise, Necromancer! The world left you for dead, but death was never the end. Awaken once more, summon your undead legions, and reclaim your throne in a turn-based strategy game that fuses roguelike tactics with autobattler mayhem.

The bones of the fallen are yours to shape. Draft from over 50 unique minions, each with strengths to exploit and weaknesses to mend. Experiment with synergies, adapt your strategy, and let your forces march to war. Mortality is but a trivial concern.

Victory earns you skulls, the currency of conquest, so spend them wisely. Between battles, retreat to your castle and embrace the true work of necromancy. Perform dark rituals, train your minions, and unravel the mysteries of your ancestral keep.

Your minions may fight on their own, but your power reaches beyond the grave. Unleash spells mid-battle to shift the odds. Bolster your undead to weaken your foes. A well-timed spell can mean the difference between victory and another trip to the grave.
