What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Teamkill is a solo developer project started in July, 2021, and admittedly a first large project that I wanted to get into people's hands as soon as possible!

Having the game release in Early Access allows me to get crucial feedback and suggestions from people hands-on with the game as it develops, and use that to turn it into the best dumb fun shooter it can be!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Honestly? I don't know. Teamkill will stay in Early Access until I feel it's ready to fully release, that may take a while.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I would like to add or update a few things if possible, like:
  • Expanded Steam Workshop support to allow for more than just maps
  • More maps, music and game-modes
  • Updated visuals & models
  • Powerups/pickups
  • Tweakable weapon values
  • Controller support
  • Overall improvements & bug fixes/polish

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It's definitely in an early alpha stage. Expect bugs, broken features, menus, crashes and placeholder assets a-plenty.

Teamkill, Team-Teamkill and Hide & Seek mode are fully playable and tweakable on a few different maps in varying states of completion. The game loads Godot .pak files as custom maps/mods, which can be uploaded to the Steam Workshop. Creating mods may require experience with Godot Engine or other external tools used for game modding or development

Hosting multiplayer games will require the host to enable UPNP, or manually port forward in order to play online. Very rudimentary, broken bots are available for singleplayer and online multiplayer. UI is in a prototype state, and may have bugs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price might change during or after Early Access depending on the state of the game and available content”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“So far Teamkill's implemented plenty of suggestions from people interested in its development ever since its' first playtest.

If you have any thoughts about the game, I'd love to hear them over on discussions or email. ...Oh, and thank you for reading this far!”

About This Game

Teamkill is a frantic multiplayer arena shooter where the teams are always changing and every shot counts. Outgun and outmaneuver your soon-to-be friends by strafing, jumping and strafe-jumping at break-neck speeds like it's 1999!

Inspired by the legendary instagib mode known from classic game series' like Quake and Unreal Tournament, as well as the infection mode found in countless others. In Teamkill, one good shot is all it takes to turn the tides as you make your enemies fight for you, and every match is a chaotic battle where the situation can shift at any time between free-for-all scraps, glorious team deathmatches, and tense showdowns where it's just you and your gun against the world.

Many ways to play!

On top of the standard Teamkill game mode, if you just want the big team battles right away, hop into Team-Teamkill mode, or goof off in Hide & Seek.

  • Make the teams yours!

Show off your creativity and well developed vocabulary by personalizing your team with a custom name and color, and laugh as you make your friends fight for it.

  • Make the modes yours!

Teamkill puts a variety of options in players' hands to tweak matches to their liking, including separate rules for each team. Do you want to see how low gravity versus high gravity fights can play out? A team that can only strafe-jump against a team that can't jump at all? A normal team duking it out with a team of ice skaters sliding all over the place? Go for it!

  • Make the game yours!

Import your own maps into the game, then play them with your friends through Steam Workshop!

Real? ...Real!

Experience the man, the myth, the legend, Gianni Matragrano as the in-game announcer and Teamguy with a ridiculous amount of hilarious voice lines, and an original soundtrack heavily featuring the work of musician, dream weaver, visionary (plus animator) CoreyLaddo!

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS *: Windows Vista
    • Memory: 1 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Support for OpenGL 3.3
    • Storage: 800 MB available space
    • Sound Card: I mean, you don't NEED to have a sound card but there's voice acting and music you'd be missing out on and I like to think it's pretty good, plus you might be at a disadvantage because you can't hear someone running right for you from behind and they might decide to flex by following you around for a while and everyone would see it and maybe there'd even be a conga line because you have the entire server on one team following you around and you're just so confused wondering "where is everyone?!" and when you turn around they're all standing there like it's a surprise birthday party but it's actually a surprise failure party
    • Additional Notes: A mouse and keyboard would be helpful
    Recommended:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS *: Windows 7
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Support for OpenGL 3.3
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 1337 GB available space
    • Sound Card: yea :)
* Starting January 1st, 2024, the Steam Client will only support Windows 10 and later versions.
