Why Early Access?

“We believe that the vehicular combat genre can offer so much more to its players than it offers now, but creating a quality car combat game is challenging. We believe by developing Chaos on Wheels side by side in collaboration with its community, we'll make the best possible vehicular combat game yet.
Early Access is the best way to have a supportive and constructive dialogue with the community while the game features get expanded and finalized, and that is the reason why we choose Early Access.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Chaos on Wheels will be in Early Access development for at least one full year, to include all planned features and content. Depending on the community feature requests, interests, and ideas, we will be open to extending Early Access development time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Acodeon has the mission to create a modern vehicular combat game that many hard fans of this genre have been waiting for, and we plan to achieve it with a wealth of features and content additions to Chaos on Wheels. Some of the features will be fully completed upon release into Early Access, and the rest of them will be finished in the following year of development. We will constantly listen to community suggestions, feature requests, and ideas, trying to implement many of them during development.
We will keep improving game performance and gameplay experience at all times.
For the final version of the game, we plan to have an entire combat experience and polish all gameplay segments, including garage management, a detailed customization system, player progression, a local leaderboard, rich equipment selection, AI support, leveling system, fully destructible environment, and many other features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Chaos on Wheels is a playable, stable, and content-rich state. It includes a ten-chapter campaign, singleplayer Chaos Career, a custom battle selection with Splitscreen for two players, with two game modes and over 25 cars, a lot of equipment, dozen of maps, and many unique characters. Players will be able to manage a garage with up to 5 custom cars and play against other bots-driven cars in one game mode. The players will be able to engage in combat, destroy the environment, customize cars, upgrade equipment, and unlock more content. Garage management will have a limited amount of actions, or these actions will not be fully polished until the game gets to the final development phase. The progress of the game development can be followed through monthly blog updates on our website or by joining our Discord community.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of Chaos on Wheels will increase as the game gets more content, and closer to the release date. Initial lower price will serve as a "thank you" to the community that supports us in the Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe transparency is the key to successful collaboration, and we encourage our community to post their comments, ideas, feature requests, and bug reports to Steam's discussion pages, or any of our official social media profiles. We also have a Discord server open to anyone to join, leave feedback, and keep up with development progress.
We keep weekly and monthly updates on our website from the very beginning of our project as an assurance of our transparency in the process of development.
We examine all of your posts, suggestions, and ideas, and give our best to respond to each and every one of them. On Discord, we keep a list of features where you can vote on which features should we prioritize and what you'd love to happen faster. However please be patient, game development is a long process, things don't happen overnight, and we promise you that good things will come if you wait. :)”
