Does this make unfinished districts removable? Would be really good for accidental placements and such, especially if it only costs the same amount of production you already put into the district. Is the production cost just the total cost of building the district?

The only dogshit idiot is the user "warheads". Despite the ignorant comment, I installed this anyway after reading more comments and the "Popular Discussion": "How to use on existing save". The mod worked flawlessly. Process:
In Civ6, went to Main Menu *DO NOT open your save until told at the very end*, installed the mod by going into the "more" route...I don't remember the exact options, but poke around a little you'll figure out it. After it's installed, shut down the game back to Desktop. I would recommend to exit out of the game anyway and go into the Steam Workshop and install mod that route and skip that potential for error.
follow the instructions in the "Popular Discussions".
Open the game. Load your save...
Voila. No problem at all.

i couldnt get the mod to function in single player so i looked at he note pad to add <AffectsSavedGames>0</AffectsSavedGames> and the note pad did not fit the description to i went and got the original one from the forms and despite having it enabled in it i can say it still doesnt seem to affect existing saves.

It shows as an enabled mod in the additional content area, but when I go into the game it's not listed as a mod at all in the mods section. I know it doesn't affect saved games, but I added in the removabledistricts.modinfo area the line:
<AffectsSavedGames>0</AffectsSavedGames>
but it doesn't appear to work on a saved game. Suggestions?

Can you make a mod to remove wonders once built? It's really annoying when you conquer AI cities and they have built wonders in the literal worst spots. Thank youuuuu!!! :)

Can't remove government plaza! The reason I got this mod is to remove it because I chose the wrong government building. Is this intention because op didn't know how to remove the governor promotions

Good, I was about to quit this game. It's stupid that we can't relocate districts in base game. Like, IRL we did change the layout of cities as they grew.

@sascha because a lot of the material, expertise, human resources, equipment, etc. already exists, which we can approximate to be half of the cost of what it takes to build, the other half being pure labor. The pure labour will be done again, but moving is easier than building complete from start.
So, option to move should end up being roughly equivalent to the cost of building it again. Also, that feels like pretty fair in terms of gameplay balance.

@NightKnight You are forgetting the cost of actually moving an entire district's worth of materials. Additionally, "moving" a district is very easy in this mod - you remove the district and then rebuild it somewhere else, which comes to 150% of the production cost of a district. I don't see how moving a district could come to just 100% of the production cost, because then either you're making removing it free or building it half-price.

Hi, I have a recommendation, I gave this some thought:

You should make this "Removable and Movable Districts"

Removing (disassembling) is 50% of the production cost, and reassembling is equal to 50% of the production cost, therefore "moving" is equal to 100% of the production cost, which is the same as building them again from scratch.
Makes common sense, matches real life, and perfectly balanced for gameplay,

Works fine with City Lights...just tested, can remove rural villages to make way for boroughs or vice versa.

When I want to start a new game with this mod, it always fails with some problem regarding startup scripts. I can't see anything in my logs though. Disabling this mod fixes it. Am I doing something wrong?

Negative, the district itself has to be fully built before the removal of it can happen.
