Can't see what? I assume you have the main lightning mod + COT + this patch mod installed? Is that correct? To clarify, this patch mod is just a small collection of COT weather ids that should trigger the main lightning mod to create storm weathers with Lightning strikes.
i need more boullete! 19 nov 2015 om 8:26
yes i do have cot and i cant see that in data files
🅼inty  [auteur] 17 nov 2015 om 10:56
This is a patch mod so collides with nothing - it does require COT to be installed.

dear author; i would like to know about any common mods which collide with this one, and i cant seem to find the data file in the launcher menu sincerly sick my duck

You need to have both installed, the standalone for the lightning strikes and the patch mod to allow them to work within COT weathers. In total for COT support you need to have all the following mods installed:-

* Climates of Tamriel Lite
* Lightning during Thunder Storms
* COT Lightning patch

Hope that helps

This mod doesn't run in my game. I'm sure of it. Had plenty of storms already. I believe I have noticed 3 different types of storms in the COT. No lightning hitting the ground around me yet. But I've tried your stand alone version.

Got it all Working I get a occational crash on lighting strike so got the nexus Patch will try again seems to be working otherwise
🅼inty  [auteur] 12 sep 2012 om 11:41
Yea man, The Nexus version is COT 2.0 only released on Monday. But as I said it requires my Nexus version of the patch which is available from my Nexus version of the mod under 'Optional Downloads'. The Main lightning mod is the same on both Nexus and Steam Workshop so you should be Ok with that one.

Pop back and let me know how you get mate.
Laeryc Tiogar 12 sep 2012 om 11:38
will try and not sure on the version i will likely undo both and get the Nexus version as it seems to be more updated
🅼inty  [auteur] 12 sep 2012 om 11:36
Another to try mate is to unsubscribe and delete the patch then re-subscribe to get it to download again.

Also the patch is specific to the Steam version of Climates of Tamreil Lite! If you have the Nexus version of COT then you will get the CTDT. If you are running the nexus version of COT then get the patch from Nexus rather than Steam WorkShop.

Let me know, I Should be able to sort you out mate ;o)
🅼inty  [auteur] 12 sep 2012 om 11:33
What version of the main lightning mod are you running? Version 18.0?
Laeryc Tiogar 12 sep 2012 om 11:28
it crashes at Main menu and yes i do have Climate of Tamriel installed the patch looked good
but it works fine without the patch i enable it(even after about 2 hours of load order tweeking it CTD's on menu i see the dragon symbol and black in a flash it crashes.
🅼inty  [auteur] 12 sep 2012 om 11:02
@Donkey Puncher; Do you have Climates of Tamriel installed?

When does it crash? is before getting to the main menu or while actually in-game while playing?
Laeryc Tiogar 12 sep 2012 om 6:15
for me loading the patch anywhere in the load order crashes the game
🅼inty  [auteur] 11 sep 2012 om 10:41
It is configurable mate and defaults to non hostile so you might want to change that.

Hostile is much more fun, I even survived on strike and had a tiny bit of health left ;o)
Brother Xavak 11 sep 2012 om 5:07
lol going to try to become a human lightning rod, dose it do damage
🅼inty  [auteur] 9 sep 2012 om 3:20
I have ;o) Set your fork lightning to local for min distance and local for max distance and it wont be too long before you get hit.
Brother Xavak 8 sep 2012 om 19:41
has anyone been struck by lightning
🅼inty  [auteur] 8 sep 2012 om 15:17
@LordFaustXIII; Did you try it out mate, does it all work ok for you?

No problems from my side of the testing ;o)
LordFaustXIII 8 sep 2012 om 11:31
Whoa, nice. I didn't think he would give out a link so close to release. Then again, maybe that's why he did it. It's still awesome, regardless.

Huh, I thought I had accepted your first friend request, but I must have hit Ignore by accident (I pay very little attention to the social aspect of Steam). Accepting right now.
🅼inty  [auteur] 8 sep 2012 om 9:14
@Hoshiyama; You are most welcome.
Wildcard 8 sep 2012 om 8:50
Thanks for the patch. :)
🅼inty  [auteur] 8 sep 2012 om 2:18
@LordFaustXIII; Woop Woop, he has given me a download link ;o) PM me on Nexus or accept my Steam friends request and I will pass it on to you. I did ask for permission for you also ;o)
LordFaustXIII 7 sep 2012 om 18:02
That would be awesome. I know he has a small update log on CoT's Nexus page where he said the FE was completed and running fine, so I'm not sure if he'll actually need any testers. I'd definitely be down for it if he does, though.
🅼inty  [auteur] 7 sep 2012 om 13:33
@LordFaustXIII; Again thank you very much mate, you are officially my number one Beta Tester, and it was much appreciated.

I might even try to get us both a FREE preview of the COT - FE so we can make sure it works before he publishes it...
LordFaustXIII 7 sep 2012 om 13:28
Ah, very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing what new effects CoT - FE has and getting to see some kick ass lightning effects along with it.

I just tried the Steam versions of everything, CoT, LDTS, and your patch, and everything was working fine. Looks like you got the problem fixed from my end, at least. Nice work.
🅼inty  [auteur] 7 sep 2012 om 11:33
@LordFaustXIII; JJ got back to me pretty quick with the following response so all looks good my friend.

"The weather form id's have not changed, and there are no new thunder weathers, so all should be ok. I'm running your mod with the new version and so far no problems.

JJ"
🅼inty  [auteur] 7 sep 2012 om 10:51
@LordFaustXIII; it should be as long as he hasn't introduced any further weathers or changed the form ids. Even if he has it wont be long before the patch is fixed up to fully support it.

I messaged him and should have a reply shortly but like I say, I will make it work ;o)

Apparently the confustion and conflict this mod had once uploaded to Workshop is because the Workshop version of COT is not an .esm and so the patch mod had a masterfile dependency on a mod that what not a master file ;o)

All makes perfect sense now...

In which case the 2nd upload should now work fine with the Steam version of COT.

Anyone willing to try it out and confirm this?
LordFaustXIII 6 sep 2012 om 23:52
Oh, just curious, but is your patch & lightning mod set to be compatible with JJ's CoT - Final Edition when it gets released this coming monday?
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 14:34
Revision 2 fixes the CTD issues but I don't think you will see any lightning during the COT weathers.

Sorry people I am stilll working on this but to get a fully tested fix in place you are going to have to wait until the weekend.

If you can't wait, grab them from SkyRim Nexus for now.
DiCtAtOr 6 sep 2012 om 14:19
okay given that order it works fine now. :)
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 13:21
OK, so this even crashes the Creation Kit while trying to load it...

I have taken the mod page offline for a couple of hours to stop any more subscribers while I fix the issue.
LordFaustXIII 6 sep 2012 om 13:10
No worries. The first thing people should realize when trying out mods, patches, etc., is that problems of some form are highly likely. If anything, I can appreciate you being on the ball to get your patch working (on Steam at least) to make an already immersive mod even more so.
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 13:03
Many thanks mate, I now need to re-upload the mod with the master dependency against 'COT' pointing towards the Steam version of COT not the Nexus version of COT.

Really sorry for your CTD issues, I thought this mod would be FAIL SAFE! You gotta love Steam and it's lack of version control and file size limits to the mod uploads.

Really sorry about the hassle and I do really appreciate all your help tonight.

Hopefully I will get a fix against the Steam version uploaded within the next hour.

Luckily you made me subscribe to the steam versions of both ;o)

Thanks again mate.
LordFaustXIII 6 sep 2012 om 12:55
Correct, those were all the steps I went through to get everything running smoothly.
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 12:51
So just to confirm so I understand what I need to do...

You have the Steam version of my Lightning mod which you always had?
You had the Steam version of COT which did not work CTD - and changed to Nexus version of COT?
You had the Steam version of the Patch mod still installed when you tried the Nexus version of COT and it did not CTD but the lightning did not work?
You downloaded the Nexus version of the patch mod and ran this against the Steam version of the Lightning and the Nexus version of COT, and this works fine?

Sorry for the questions but I think I understand the issue now.
LordFaustXIII 6 sep 2012 om 12:47
Yeah, that seemed to be it. Using the Nexus versions of CoT and this patch along with the Steam version of Lightning During Thunder Storms, and both lightning and lightning strikes are working now. Nice work.
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 12:29
The patch is the only part wth dependencies so if possible try the version of lightning that you previosuly had with both the Nexus versions of COT and the Patch.

Thanks mate, I do really appreciate your testing this out.
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 12:27
Please try the Nexus version of the patch first
LordFaustXIII 6 sep 2012 om 12:25
Using the Nexus version of CoT, I'm not getting the CTD anymore. Now, I'm just not getting any lightning to show up. First, I'm going to try the Nexus version of your "Lightning During Thunderstorms" and, if that doesn't fix it, I'll then try the Nexus version of the patch.
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 11:58
@LordFaustXIII; OK mate, that will at least narrow down the cause. While you are there would you mind also getting the Nexus version of this patch and try that? I would really appreciate your help and feedback as will many others if there is a problem with this upload.

Many thanks
LordFaustXIII 6 sep 2012 om 11:53
I retried and am still getting a CTD at the main game loading screen. I'm only getting it with your patch; if I disable or uninstall the patch, everything works fine for me. It's odd that it all works for you, but I've uninstalled the Steam version of CoT and am going to try the Nexus one. I'll see if that helps anything.
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 11:03
OK, I subscribed to all three mods, have them in a load order of COT, Lightning during Thunder Storms, This patch mod.

No preoblems what so ever, the lighting strikes all work the configuration works and no sign of a crash.

So, can you expand on when you are getting these crashes? is it during in game play or while trying to actually load the main game? Also do either of you use Immersive Thunder sounds or Realistic thunder sounds mod?

Can anyone please confirm that this mod is working for them?
🅼inty  [auteur] 6 sep 2012 om 10:49
Hi Guys, The mod is so simple the only way I can see it causing CTD is if you don't have COT installed, but as LordFaustXIII mentions he had COT installed I am thinking maybe the Steam version is a little different from the Nexus one.

It is not recommened or easy for mod authors to subscribe to our own mods on Steam but give 10mins while I go remove all my development mods and subscribe to COT and this patch and I will let you know.

Be Right Back...
DiCtAtOr 5 sep 2012 om 20:13
yeah i too am getting a crash with this patch.
LordFaustXIII 5 sep 2012 om 18:19
Not sure what others will say, but I keep getting a CTD with your patch installed. I had CoT and your Lightning During Thunderstorms mod installed, both with their load order higher than the patch, but I only got the CTD after subscribing to your patch. Also, I have no other weather mods installed. Overall, it could just be me, but if it does required tweaking, I'll try it out again once it's fixed.
🅼inty  [auteur] 5 sep 2012 om 17:46
Confirmation that the download works OK via Steam WorkShop is verry welcome.
I can not subscribe to my own mods so all feedback is very much appreciated.
