Belay that question. Turns out the Draconis mod (who a friend seems to preference) has the below tech and it breaks flight mods for a fair few modded races.

So. I assume It's this mod that adds in the wings of the dragon tech. Is there a way to disable that tech entirely as It stops a different flight tech mod from working which I prefer?

i can't seem to find any armor sets for anything above durasteel. have they been implemented yet, or am i just blind?

I do hope at some point there could be some custom item descriptions added. Such things seem minor but can really help define a race's character.

I'm having an issue with the Kazdra spawner to get colonists, they don't seem to be working for me. Is that normal or is that a bug?

I'm the author of the discontinued version.
They are basically the same for blocks and furniture, the only difference is the characters. You would lose your character if you switched mods.

Out of curiosity, what is currently available in this mod? I have been using the discontinued version, which seems to be fine for the most part. I understand this one is from the Race's author themselves, but are these two versions completely different? if I had to uninstall the discontinued version, would my planets be affected?

well. Overhaul mods have some of the greatest potential for making a game grow beyond its original limits. but i have to admit that they often sorta... go a bit fucking stupid.

I'm with Nemuri, sorry. I think FU is cancerous to the mod community, as overhauls tend to be wherever one finds them.

What is an overhaul mod?

* A parasitic collection of other people's work (this is true more often than not);
* A lack of understanding of the importance of modularity (it's a necessity);
* A placebo for people who actually believe that modding is plug & play (it really isn't);
* A nightmare for anyone who uses the overhaul (it's impossible to debug due to its size);
* A nightmare for anyone who adds even one other mod (the aforementioned debug issue);
* A nightmare for every other mod author (just ask them);
* A mod mafia where you agree to have your mod included or you get shanked.

Workshop collections do what overhauls do but without the drama, issues, and toxicity. I much prefer Valve's implementation. Honestly, I feel grumpy about every Starbound mod I've seen that's been killed off because of FU. "Eff you" is such an apt name.

I have told the mod creator myself that people were becoming antsy in the feed for this mod, and that they should do something about it... But I see I was not quite listened to. Ouch.

Hey all, creator of the reloaded version of the mod here.
What in heck has been going on in this comment section?! Let me clear up some misconceptions i see:
I was not bullied to stop the reloaded mod. I was nicely asked and i stepped down. It was my own choice. I do not know what has been going on with this mod and it not getting updates. It has been way too long with no news from the actual mod dev however, i agree.

i liked this mod, i used it all the time. when it never updated i got somewhat sad because my favorite race mod was gone because i really liked the new Starbound updates.
but then Kazdra reloaded came around and that was amazing. And then Hiuki basically bullied the makers of kazdra reloaded into abandoning it. Hiuki then proceded to abandon this again without any warning and let it die AGAIN!

so dont go hating on Frackin JUST because they made a new version of a mod that the creator has killed over and over and will even Bully others into abandoning any attempts to make an updated version of it!

hey sonic. guess what. this mod is basically dead, and the last time some fan tried to get some guys together to revive it the maker of this mod came back to do NOTHING ELSE OTHER THAN KILL THE FIXED MOD AND THEN DISAPPEAR AGAIN! so yea. this mod legit has a creator that not only left his mod by the wayside but will bully others into deleting any and all patched versions. they apparently want their mod to Die and will FORCE OTHERS to let it die. so yea, Frackin' has a variant of this race, practically a copy-paste BUT THAT COPY IS THE ONLY WAY WE GET A FUCKING RACE EVEN VAGUELY LIKE THIS BECAUSE THE KAZDRA MOD DEV WANTS IT TO DIE!

I love how fuckin' Sayter ripped off this mod with his own 'unique' dragon race that's very spiritual and makes things out of crystals since he couldn't bully kazdra's maker/s into assimilating into frackin' universe

Which comes back to my exact point that I was anticipating this crap. I even mentioned how it might happen once before. And I friggin knew it. Screw this guy.

the mod dev only ever seems to show up when someone else fixes the mod, specifically to tell that person to delete the "copy" of this mod, and then proceeds to not update and ignore the mod again.
the mod dies from no updates and people who make a patch are forced by the mod dev to delete the fixed versions.

This is getting friggin ridiculous right now. Says they'll get back to updating and then suddenly, ZERO updates in months. Seriously don't feel like wiping my entire starbound save because of a single god damn out dated mod.

The wait gets so hard, I refuse to play Starbound without Kazdras

i dont think the patch author would update his patch unless hiuki give permission himself. I have no idea how i would update the patch myself for personal use unfortunately.

I think the owner would be fine with it, seeing as i did one back for 1.3
