Oh, and FWIW the bikes have been folded in to Frackin' Universe, so if you're using that mod go ahead and turn this one off. I corrected a couple of the 1.3 animation changes on that side.

Yeah the mod has been put on hold, I haven't even checked if it still works with 1.3. I've been working on monsters for the Frackin' Universe mod now - and that's only in between going back to school full time. Whenever I get back to this mod I'll be working on functionality first, then moving on to the Floran bike since it was most requested.

Given how explorerpods no longer work AFAIK due to one of the major updates breaking part of their coding (pre-1.3, ironically enough), and the original author is long gone, having at least hoverbikes would be really nice.

@ Tyto I troubleshooted things for a bit and I think you were spot on about the .pak format being the issue. I've started prepackaging before uploading and its working without error messages on my end.

If it helps, I copied my Starbound to a new folder and just had this one mod in the mods folder there. On running the game's exe, it crashes with the same errors presented in the log I posted earlier. So, it's not really a multiplayer thing so much as the game just can't load this mod if it's not installed via the Workshop (i.e. it's run from the game's mods folder). If it is, then everything works without a hitch (even in Steam-hosted multiplayer sessions).

@ Tyto Thanks for the encouragement on designs. I'm really interested in doing mods that seem like they could be part of vanilla, I think the old designs will be gathered up when I return to the forums. As far as the error log goes I think you're on the right track. I use the linux command line tools to upload the mods - I guess the window's one forces the contents.pak format. It's going to take more than just me to tes tmultiplayer so bear with me while I rope a friend into helping me out.

All right, so, I had this problem last time I tried running this mod, but was hoping it might be fixed with the update. Guess not! Anyway, here's the error log I'm getting. [pastebin.com]

What's weird is, it loads and works just fine in single-player - with the same exact mods running. But when I attempt to load this through the mods folder on a server, it crashes at startup and produces that log up above. This is also the only Workshop mod I've seen that's not a pak file, but I don't know what that'd have to do with anything.

I love the Avian bike, and I'd really like to see what other concepts you had in mind for it before deciding on the one that made its way into the mod. All three of these bikes are terrific and really fit in very well with the rest of the game, thank you so much for making them.

Okay, one down three to go. I know avian was the least requested but I'd been working on it for a while. I ended up scrapping the stuff I'd been working on these past months and going with something simpler. The spinning gem efffect makes it kind of unique compared to the other bikes, I'm sure it will get some features like lights and whatnot eventually. Glitch is the easiest follow up but Floran is the most requested so I'm not sure where I'll go next. Hope everyone is enjoying the content even if its coming at a snail's pace

This project looks abandonned but I'm just being really particular about it. I've got about a dozen different designs for an Avian bike. Since I can't pick which to go forward with I'll probably put it up to a vote on the CF forums like I did for the Hylotl bike.
I can see pretty clearly that Floran is the most requested. My initial plan was to do Floran last and have their bike be an amalgamation of the other races' bikes. It would probably be best to alter the original bike with the floran motif and maybe revisit the design once the others are taken care of.

@ Alphapotato33 There was a mod on the forums (pre 1.0) that included the horse. The character stood on top of it. I had some ideeas for using parts of the sprite but ran into a lot of problems implementing it :(

If you do a glitch bike will it be the horse that the glitch jouster uses??? (maybe smaller... also it would be the first workshop horse vehicle... and finally most of the textures are already done with it already being a sprite in the game)

@ Dracheneisen Thank you. Right now I'm not wanting to charge mroe fore looks, but for functionality - which is somewhere I disagree with the vanillla system. That said I'm toying with the scripts to try out extra features on the diferent bikes. The hylotl has some level of buoyancy for example.

Nice work! You should maybe raise the price of this baby to, let's say 15000 or 20000 pixels, because it's cooler, and should be considered rarer than the classic hoverbikes... anyway, cool stuff!!! ^^ This will go in my mod list!!!
