Anyway as say the description fisdrea found a way that works even better and where objects will be static too ^^ If you want to see how works this second method, try my map Reversed ^^
Sieron Satori 28. juli 2013 kl. 2:41
ok.
i send you a link with the map i make with it.
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 27. juli 2013 kl. 13:36
Well if I remember correctly this version is the simplest : You place a laser linked to a laser relay so that the laser activate the relay. You set the laser at "start activated", this will produce an insaleny fast blinking laser. You place a layer of 2 facing funnels where you want the anti gravity, and you link all those funnels to the laser relay (you can place more than one laser relay in front of the laser if you need to activatem ore than 8 funnels). Don't remember if the funnels should start activated or no, try both solutions and see which one is the better ^^
Sieron Satori 27. juli 2013 kl. 9:53
thank you.
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 27. juli 2013 kl. 5:50
Hehe, there is no mod needed to do it ^^ I only used funnels and laser circuits to do that ;) But I can try to make you a drawing of the mechanism if needed ^^
Sieron Satori 27. juli 2013 kl. 3:01
Great work. can i get the mod/items to it?
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 17. juni 2013 kl. 14:44
Yep, this is the first way to "levitate" I discovered but as you can see it's not really perfect ^^ The one used in Reversed is the best I know and use the method Frisdrea found ;)
About the laser field and not goo, I don't remember why I did that... Maybe because you can accidentally destroy your cube into goo if you hold it too low? Not sure...
8MMW 17. juni 2013 kl. 13:45
Nice map, I didn't realise earlier that you can move talong the funnel in these :) Interesting that the oscilator seems to be asymmetric (pulling objects to one side), yet the player stays still. As far as I remember if the oscialtor is made using lift (as in Reversed and some of my maps), the objects stay still in a horizontal funnel, this one seems different.
Don't know if that'd be good, but I think that goo/acid would make better than lasers under the field. Would be more like "surfing" as some call it. And here, it is, in theory, possible to get trapped, if someone throwed the franken under these lasers (don't know why would anyone do that, though :)
The map felt a bit too big, but it made the feeling of floating more dramatic :)
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 30. dec. 2012 kl. 9:06
@Argos : Glad you liked ^^ Feel free to try the other maps linked in the description ;) And also one of the last maps I made called Reversed where you have to build the mechanism yourself :p
Argos 30. dec. 2012 kl. 5:48
very good use of "high" frequency oscillators. Very funny XD
Yavie 29. dec. 2012 kl. 9:27
Yeah, you're right... but I still like calling it surfing (;
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2012 kl. 3:50
Well so you fond it ^^ I called it this way because it was a nice "scientific" name for it ;p
Yavie 28. dec. 2012 kl. 18:02
YAY! Surfing! (: Stop calling it zero gravity though :D
Rei 11. dec. 2012 kl. 11:43
Well, at least you could append it to your list, it's just two hands full of maps ;)
And you must have had so much of time and fun to create yours...
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2012 kl. 10:08
@Reiman : It seems that I only played a few of your maps (I always post comments on the maps I played), so feel free to propose them as #F4F if you want ;) Anyway I'm not playing too much at the moment, because of studies :p
Rei 10. dec. 2012 kl. 15:57
That's a cool idea! ^-^
Whoa, you have so many maps I want to test, I can't compare with in amount... and even my list doesn't show all at once!
So - logical issue: if you once have played all of my testrooms by #F4F, you don't need to do more ^_^
SpaceJuliet 1. nov. 2012 kl. 2:56
Very good and original idea, good work
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2012 kl. 6:57
New logic puzzle around levitation/stase in my workshop ^^ Let's try Reversed !
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 25. aug. 2012 kl. 3:35
Well this is the bad point of this mechanism X) Anooying slowmotion when you move in the dirstion of the funnel generators ^^" Anyway you can check the version of frisdrea that it almost perfect : no slowmotion in any direction ^^
stormsend 24. aug. 2012 kl. 14:07
no glitches, works fine. curios thing how your speed changes depending on direction.
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2012 kl. 3:45
Oh just wondering, is it still working fine? Didn't try it again after the funnel physics update...
stormsend 24. aug. 2012 kl. 3:11
Very nice. Well put together with the controls and all. Fun playing even if it's a concept map.
Cyph Lor 23. aug. 2012 kl. 21:26
Nice concept you got. Also it does make you think a little, especially if you just jump right in. It took me one fail attempt on the cube to figure out what I had to do.

I really like the idea of the anti-grav field. You should make another chamber using this.
cyron43 28. juli 2012 kl. 15:03
LOL that was something else. :-)
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 21. juli 2012 kl. 14:47
@Haberdasher,THE Worst Internet : I know it's possible to make even better and less noisy anti-gravity fields using Hammer... But here the challenge was to make it with only the PeTI editor ;)
EggsAisle 21. juli 2012 kl. 13:46
if i recall somebody made a normal antigrav generator that made a lot less noise and as a complete testing element, maybe can borrow it,neat concept though.
mood3rd 18. juli 2012 kl. 12:22
good map.
good concept.
I was playing music, so masked the noise perfectly. (no issue to me)
thankyou
.sheridan .vespo 25. juni 2012 kl. 11:04
I knew that concept. It was fun but noisy!
Le Petit Mort 22. juni 2012 kl. 13:03
Took a me a bit to realize what I needed to do; talk about your leap of faith!

Pros
• Novel concept;

Cons
• Failing to notice the field is invisible;
• Noisy!
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 14. juni 2012 kl. 9:44
@firsdrea : Your vertical version have a really perfect timing ^^ Good job ;)
firsdrea 13. juni 2012 kl. 11:03
Yes, I have seen and tried.
But I seem to find the reasons for the slow shift ---- the timer is not accurate.

Although my approach will not slow-moving, but still not be able to maintain a high.
I hope to have a better timer.
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2012 kl. 10:25
@firsdrea : I also made a vertical version ;) Use the link in description to try it ^^
firsdrea 13. juni 2012 kl. 9:47
http://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=76635361
I think I made a little better vertical version,Although not perfect
The slow upward movement may be because the "Dual Laser Timer" is not accurate.
(Sorry for Google Translate)
Constant 11. juni 2012 kl. 6:56
That was so much fun! Well done :)
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2012 kl. 10:15
Anti-Gravity Field is now working! Link in description to try it ;)
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 9. juni 2012 kl. 8:55
@firsdrea : Sorry about lateral slowmotion, I was already happy when I finally got a field that stop you in mid air!
I also tried to make a vertical version, but one direction will always prime on the other and you will move slowly up or down... I will try to make another map based on a vertical version which transport you up ;)
firsdrea 9. juni 2012 kl. 4:35
Cool, but very slow in the left and right movement, and perhaps should be made of vertical?(I'm not sure this is feasible)
[HopSkip] Miles of Regret 8. juni 2012 kl. 13:15
DAG YO!
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 6. juni 2012 kl. 16:50
@M1kke : I just saw your map in another comment ^^ Will try it soon, it looks to be some kind of really interesting new concept of map :p
Glad if my mechanisms could be re-used ;)
M1kke 6. juni 2012 kl. 11:06
Nice idea to demo. You should make a real map over this idea. I got nice ideas for my series about this :)

http://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=74420713
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 5. juni 2012 kl. 5:01
Yeah that's the aim ^^ The Zero Gravity Field is invisible ;)
DosMike 5. juni 2012 kl. 1:39
nicely done :)
it's a bit confusing, i cant really see the "field" but quite interesting
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 2. juni 2012 kl. 18:07
Awesome X) I remember the first time I tried my Escape map, Cave Johnson was talking about escaping from a space ship XD
Tairs 2. juni 2012 kl. 17:57
Trippy puzzle. Super easy, but freaked my mind. Also when I played it, a Cave Johnson was talking about the Space Testing Spheres. In Space. Kinda helped the atmosphere, dig?
Geneosis  [ophavsmand] 2. juni 2012 kl. 17:05
