Will we be able to gestate our own bions?

If you have Faction Discovery or Vanilla Expanded Franework you can add the Faction Midplay.
The appear early but with low level equipment.
Later they bring everything and Plasmacasters can wreck your defense similiar to the Diablus Mech

Will this faction work if added later on in a playthrough? Or, alternately.. do they appear later on rather than early on? They seem like they'd utterly wreck a colony thats even a couple of years old

Bion's xeno genes when?

No rush, but the plasma caster seems to not have a "created at" section. Cannot build it once researched. The other weapon in that tier can be built. Also the ingredients to make it seem outdated, as it takes no crucible cores nor advanced components.

Give the people some time. 1.6 is barely out for a month and it is amazing how many mods are allready upgraded.

This mod would be amazing with a revitalisation. Their aesthetic is so cool, I wanna see more of them. Orbital stations, better looking faction bases, vehicles, quests.

Such a shame about those Bions. This faction goes so hard alongside the Ferals that it sucks I cant join them with my colonies. :))

I can't agree on the complaints regards to the textures. This definitely fits the RimWorld style, the Federation just has their own special look, I love how alien it is.

I imagine bions being gestated but being controllable in the same vein as dms mechs, being organic they don't need to recharge. Maybe take some notes from vanilla genetics expanded if their more like beasts than robots.

There any plans for a way to create our own bions at some point? I really like the idea of bio-punk-style soldiers to do warcrimes with hehe

The Federation heat cannon isn't showing up as an item that can be put into a stockpile. Just got one randomly drop from a cargo pod and it can't be stored anywhere.

I have it too also with vanilla factions mechanoids. Might be an issue with porting to 1.5??

I found a trader willing to buy them. Apparently they have to specifically be an "apparel trader," the regular bulk traders that trade other clothing won't buy them.

Are you meant to not be able to sell the jumpsuits and guard cloaks? I think I've tried every type of trader, and everybody is "not willing to buy this." And they're willing to buy the guard curaiss [sic], so it's not like it's *entirely* broken.

That'd be fantastic, like using the IVF system wtih some phoerum and some ded bion genetic material then insert in biotech growth vat and like get a big mutant soldier cyborg thing in like a season or so

This is a super cool faction and its cool already to "play" as them with the gear and armor but would you add an update to make it possible to make the bions? there too cool not to use. Apologizes in advance if it isn't possible.

@SpaceDorf and thats why i suggested them to be a playable race instead of mechanoids otherwise you'll have to pay $30 just to use them. also they aren't robotic, they are more like partly cyborgs with a body structure and organs similar to humans.

@Hayden the first watcher it doesn't make sense for them to be mechanoids. they are cybords, thats different. and in the lore, it was stated that they are vat grown before being lobotomized into monsters that only obey their own faction. they also have the same body structure and organs as humans. you can't lobotomize mechanoids, that'll only destroy them and can only be done on organic beings.

@Mismagius well them being similar to mechanoids in terms of control and creation would make sense.

@grammy.net.au .. Having the Federation as Empire substitute would also be fun :)
