You should send this apprectiation to Rocky and their team of modders though, they're the ones who did all the hard work of making the model and animations, all I did was hex edit it onto a different automatic shotgun and give it a new firing sound effect.

It looks like someone else already asked them to do that on their page. I don't want to ask them for permission to make a SCAR-L version until they've had a chance to reply to that request, they may already be working on it.

As always, I'll ask and if the original author lets me, I'll go ahead and try it! Like I said below though, there's issues with porting an animation meant for the M4 to the SCAR-L. Still, there was always a timing issue on Valve's original SCAR-L animation, so you're probably used to it.

Sure, I'll ask if they mind me doing that! I should note though, that the M4 has a much shorter reload animation than the SCAR-L, so you'd have to look at the SCAR-L's HUD to know when it's actually done reloading rather than watching the animation.

Though the stock Valve animation already *has* that problem, so maybe you're already used to doing that!

I'm sorry, I can't find anything like that already existing on the workshop. If you can link me to an already existing version of this mod somewhere (specifically for L4D2, like it's a mod for the M16 or something), I could hex edit it onto the AK-47 with permission of the original mod maker.

If you're asking me to make it from scratch, I'm not a model maker. I didn't make this mod, as it says in the credits. All I did was edit the code of the model so that it could work on the auto-shotgun instead of the SPAS-12.

That shouldn't be possible, the hex code of the model no longer has any references to the SPAS anymore. I even use this mod myself, it works fine for me and my version is the same as everyone elses. If there were a problem, I'd be experiencing it too.

What other mods do you have installed? You might have downloaded Rocky's original version of the mod by accident, which does replace the SPAS.

There IS a video, on the original mod's page. Like it says in the description, this isn't really my mod. The original mod was created by Lt. Rocky, all I did was add a Battlefield 3 firing sound effect and hex edit the mod to work on the Auto-Shotgun (AKA: Tactical Shotgun), as that gun has so few model mods on the workshop.

Here's a link to the original mod itself, if the sheer amount of stuff in Lt. Rocky's armory is intimidating to search through!

If you read the description, you'll see that I didn't make the model, animation or sound effects, I just ported it onto a different gun than the one it was meant for. It's not my mod, I hex edited two lines of code in the model file and reuploaded it with Lt. Rocky's permission. I don't know the first thing about 3D modeling, I did this because an old version of the DAO-12 over the auto-shotgun disappeared - either because the person who ported it originally closed their account or deleted the mod from the workshop - so I remade it myself and put it back up.

If you want someone who's experienced with model making, try the original creator of this mod, Lt. Rocky! There's links in the description to his workshop page, maybe send them a request there?

BTW Scarface, Lt. Rocky never messaged me back saying it was ok to port the USAS-12, so.. I'm sure he'd be ok with it, but I'd rather not take the chance without his direct permission, since it's his work and all.

I'm unable to edit animations, so changing guns that have shorter or longer animations would be impossible.

I'm sure I could port the USAS-12 over the Auto-Shotgun though! Let me ask if they mind me doing that and I'll see what I can do.

No prob! This was the ONLY auto-shotgun mod I liked enough to download, and after it disappeared, I was so sad that I decided to look up a tutorial on model swapping just to resurrect it.

If anyone has any requests for model swaps, just ask! I'll see if the mod creator's cool with me doing it and if they are, I'll probably do it.
